Morning Campers,
I'm looking to hire a car for two weeks at the end of August (17th-31st) 2009. My budget is around £250-350 all in. I am over 25 :scared1:
I know little about American cars but wondered if anyone could recommend a car that is a bit fun and less drab for my price range?
There will be 1 adult and 3 kids.

i paid 365 for a 4x4 with us rentacar and i'm 28 thats with full tank of fuel and extra driver so the top insurance that they do

usrentacar.com is the website. we are flying 27th aug to 11th sep

Intermediate SUV with Alamo(USrentacar) would be £302.
Convertible just out of price range, £380. Same site with Budget
Both without tank of gas.

We rented a Mustang a couple of years ago, as a special treat for DH. He loved it - but it would probably blow your budget.

Reckon we could afford a Mustang for one week, however we would have to rollerskate the second.

Will be doing the Mustang in the future, I am 21 so the insurance cost would kill me!

What is the damage for the rental on one of them things?!

Just checked on Hertz website. For 2 week's rental starting on 9th April it's £455. That's for a hardtop Mustang.

I think it's an additional $37 per day, looking at the small print.
