Has anyone been to A Bug's Land yet? If so, how was it? It sounded to me to be geared toward the pre-school age kids...similar to Mickey's Toon Town @ WDW. I'd be interested in any opinions you have.....

DISer Roy didn't like it all that much, he has posted his opinion under "flik's not so fun fair".

I am going next week with my 6 year old nephew, 4 year old niece and 1.5 year old nephew...I will post a review when I return!

We were there this weekend and heard many folks saying it is for very small children (except for some reason there is a ride that has a height restriction - go figure) we have a 2.5 yr old DS and everyone kept saying - "Oh he'll love it"
Also we heard there is not a lot to it so dont plan on spending the day there or comparing it even to Toontown - which in my opinion is somewhat lacking.
Hmmm - I will be interested in hearing more opinions. I am sure we will check it out soon too.

We were at DCA when they offerred a "sneak peak" at the park. We had our 4 y/o son and 4 y/o nephew with us.

Of the four rides, they could not ride the bumper cars due to the heigh restriction. This was difficult to explain to them, especially when you think you are in an area geared to their age group.

The rides were ok, the theme was fantastic in my opinion. The land is kind of small, and the rides don't seat that many people. I have a feeling it could get crowded at times.

Well, my kids are 7, 9.5 and 11.5.......I guess it's safe to assume we'll be making a rather QUICK pass thru Bugs Land simply to see what it's all about - I won't plan on hanging around there! Thanks for the info!

The height restriction is 42" on the bumper cars. You must ride with an adult if you are 42". If you are over 47", you can ride alone.

This place is supposedly geared for the preschooler. However, when our 3 yo DD got in there, it didn't seem to excite her that much. She liked the ladybug ride (like the spinning teacups). But the Heimlich train and Flik's flying ride was ho-hum. She desperately wanted to ride the bumper cars but was not allowed to. It didn't take us long to go through FFF. As a previous poster said, don't plan a day on this. We got through it in less than an hour.

My DH and I really liked the magnificent theming in FFF. It was remarkably well done.

My sister and I visited it tonight, but didn't ride anything. It has great theming, but it looks like only 2 rides there would give us some degree of fun. The train and bumper cars move so slowly! At least in Toontown there is more to do and see. The whole area reminded me more of Mk's Toontown Fair than DL's Toontown, actually a combo of Toontown Fair and the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground at MGM. But it just seems completely limited by the amount of space - it is very cramped in there. However, it seems like a great addition to DCA - the best themed area in the entire park.

We were there yesterday, with my 2 1/2 yr old DS. IT is themed extremely well, beautiful. However, the rides were disappointing. The chew chew train is done very well, but it is soooo short. I heard several people say "that's it?". We did ride it twice though. The ladybug ride spins more on it's own than the teacups, which was fun, but my DS looked a bit freaked out. So I held him on my lap for the rest of it. DS didn't want to ride the hot air balloon ride, whicih I thought looked nice too. He wanted to ride the cars, but he's only 35" so it will be quite a long time. They seemed to move very slowly. I overheard LOTS of kids saying they wanted to ride the bumper cars, and LOTS of parents saying they could not, they were too little.

This was our first time to CA, and we'll probably go back for these rides (I have AP). I think they could have done a better job on the rides though. Oh well, can't wait for Pooh at DL!

From what I have been reading on these boards, it is not much to get excited about - We have AP and haven't been yet, but will soon. From all accounts, it looks like they need to expand it a bit more.
