A Bright Spot - 'Official' Hurricane Season is Over!

The Official Hurricane Season in the Atlantic and the Caribbean is over - it goes from 6/1 to 11/30.

We could still see a Hurricane come along, but it would be rare on a statistical basis.

Not to make light of the situation, but as a "victim" of Hurricane Lili - we appreciated Disney's taking us to Castaway Cay twice, St. Thomas and Puerto Rico where it was beautiful, sunny and calm seas rather than our designated Western tour (and yes, we had plans to meet friends at Key West and excursions on Cozumel and Grand Cayman)!!

As the song goes "ka sera sera" - but I'm sure glad Hurricane season is now officially over - let's work on the virus season now!

Rae519-- when we told DD that there was a virus going around the ship and that she would have to wash her hands extra often, etc... she said "well, I'd rather have that than a hurricane!". Then when we told her that your trip had gone to CC twice, she changed her mind!

Please tell DD for me that next time she can come to CC with us - it's even better when you know you can go back!! But would you really want to live there?! Okay, give me 20 years to let you know.
About the handwashing, what a hoot! Tell her from me that according to the Oprah show I saw a few years ago, we should wash our hands to the tune of "Happy Birthday" - start to finish! Even now at home, I'm doing two verses!!! Can't be too safe even in the "ole hometown"! So, I'm paranoid - I think that's okay as long as I don't get or give any germs!!!!
