First, here is the list of places we ate on our recent trip:
  • Jiko
  • 'Ohana
  • Restaurant Marrakesh
  • Boma
  • Cinderella's Royal Table
  • California Grill
  • Yachtsman Steakhouse
  • Shula's
Jiko- Outstanding, as usual.

'Ohana- Outstanding, as usual.

Marrakesh- Yes, I tipped the waiter in order to dance with the belly dancer... I have no shame.

Boma- Outstanding, as usual.

Cindy's- Incredible experience during Wishes fireworks.

Cali Grill- Good food, but VERY loud, and too bright.

Yachtsman- Somewhat disappointing, but not terrible.

Shula's- Outstanding. Now a 2-time member of the 48 oz club!

I will attempt to write more in depth reviews later.
I will be happy to answer any questions...

Thanks for the reviews! Im just wondering, what did you have at Yachtmans and why was it disappointing? DH and I are considering that as a possibility for our anniversary dinner(wihtout the kids) next summer so Im interested in all reviews of it.

Thanks for the all-too-brief reviews!

Do you remember anything about the food at Marrakesh?

If you have to tip the waiter to dance with the belly-dancer, do you have to tip her to get good service from the waiter?!

Well, there were really two things that I was not thrilled with.
One was after emphasizing several times to the server that I want my beef "well done, with no pink what so ever", it came out bright, bright red. I am just not sure how that happens.
Second, I ordered a lobster tail on the side (not the fillet and tail, but rather a different cut of meat with a tail on the side). Now, I have done this at many fine restaurants, Yachtsman Steakhouse included. I fully expect to pay an astronomical charge for this, so that is not the point. The point is that they brought out an entire second meal, with potato ect... This truly was not a big deal, but it was a little embarrassing and I would expect a restaurant of this caliber to know better.

So again, it was not a terrible experience, but my under cooked meat did not allow me to eat at the same time as the rest of my family.

Yes, the food was good too! My wife was not all that thrilled about me being so eager to dance with the belly dancer!

I will try to write a 'real' review or two over the next couple of days, depending on whether or not my laptop is functional...
