Our 1st Christmas trip & Disneymoon - our 3rd trip total.

WEATHER: warm, sunny, and humid. Not what I was looking forward to as it's always been freezing when we go in January.

RESORT: POFQ. 1st stay here, previously POP. Loved it! This will be our future home base, if we can't afford the Poly. We had a river view, 6th building, 3rd floor. Gorgeous view. Everything was so close. Quiet and romantic. Make sure you get the beignets at least once ... yummy yum yum!

MVMCP: Busy but fun. Glad we did it but won't do it again in the future.

DESSERT party during the MVMCP: Worth the price for the view and no crowds. The desserts were average buffet fare - sugary and just ok.

OSBORNE lights @ HS: Must see for anyone's list! We went 2x and I cried each time. It's just an overwhelming experience of sight and sound. Wow!

FOOD (highlights and lowlights, but not all the food we ate):
Ohana - Loved it. This was our 1st time. Had to get sneaky with the ADR and booked 3 ppl when there was only 2 of us. (I was never charged for that 3rd person who didn't show up). I was a ***** for the steak, while DH was all over the pork. We ended up making a day of ADR for a 2nd trip there during our stay ... it was that good!
Le Chefs de France - in the past this was our favorite. Believe the reviews ... it's gone downhill. No wine in the onion soup. The mac n cheese was flour-y and tasteless; I don't believe they're using gruyere anymore. Creme brulee was runny and tasted like pudding. We ended up cancelling our 2 other ADR's here; it's THAT bad.
Le Cellier - again this was our 1st visit here and booked 3ppl with only 2 actually going to the ressie (again, no charge for the 3rd person). We thought it was good, not great as others say. The cheese soup was a great dip for the pretzel bread but isn't that good once it gets cold. We each had the skillet and meat was chewy. Maple creme brulee was a hit! I now dream of it! We'll go again on a future trip but will stick with lunch ADRs (it's not worth 2 credits on the dining plan) and will stay away from the skillet.
50s Prime Time Cafe - Also has gone downhill a bit but still enjoyable. What I noticed was with the chicken pot pie, which I have loved many times in the past. So much so that I've found the recipe online and have made it at home. This time it was a bit bland - too much four and not enough chicken stock. Onion rings, milkshakes, and apple cobbler are still wonderful though!
And, finally, Kona Cafe @ Poly - 1st time for both of us. Two words ... TONGA TOAST! Wow! Winner!

Now, onto planning our January 2013 trip!!
