A lot of recent threads on the Dis are understandably about the economy because of the recession we're experiencing.
The economy is a difficult thing to study and understand. We discovered an excellent book that explains the economy in a simple manner.
If you'd like to learn more about economics, check out the book Whatever Happened to Penny Candy? I think Amazon sells it.
Technically, the book is written for children (probably at a middle school level) but I think that adults would find the book to be informative and useful. I know that I do! In fact, I'm learning more about the economy now from this book than I ever learned in high school or college with textbooks.
