I probably won't be making any road trip plans to head to Minnesota, but I have some fond memories of Chi-Chi's (at least prior to their Hep A outbreak )

I'm pretty happy about this. There was one across the street from my high school. I used to go there all the time with friends or on dates. Hoping the chain comes back to Maryland!

I remember going to Chi Chi's all the time when I was younger. Not sure if every location had this but I remember the main dining room having this massive sun mural and that stuck out more to me than the actual food. I would try it once if it came to my area but I doubt I would go there regularly. These days when I go out to eat I prefer to go to local restaurants vs. chains.

I may have missed it, but I didn't see anything about where they were going to start up. I'd love to be able to go back to one again, but I can't imagine what the prices would be, especially if it's in MN.

It was on a different report I had read - the two locations are going to be in MN, but no other details at to where within the state they will be

Looking at a list online of the original locations, it appears that the farthest west they went was Colorado. The bulk of the locations were east coast and midwest.

My most favorite place back in the day. The food was delicious, atmosphere fun, drinks strong. We have a thriving Hispanic and Mexican population here, so I am surprised it was as popular as it was, but I WELCOME it back and cannot wait to see if they have the enchiladas tampico that I still crave to this day!

I loved Chi Chi's when I was a kid. We lived in a small town about an hour from a bigger city - whenever we went to the city, we always ate at Chi Chi's.

Is Chi-Chi's supposed to be like El Torito? I remember hearing about Chi-Chi's Restaurants but I didn't have any where i'm at. I never knew they were making a comeback but my family used to go to Mexican restaurants with my relatives when we would visit some of my relatives in Texas. But we would eat at Pancho's Mexican Buffet all the time. Did you ever eat at a Pancho's Mexican Buffet? They were like Chi-Chi's Restaurants and had great tasting food as well
