A bit worried...

I have booked a 4 bedroom house at the Hamlet in Westhaven through VRBO for 10 days at Christmas this year. Reading a bit here, it seems like Windsor Hills is very popular and many people love it; I should have booked something there. I haven't read anything about this area (in Davenport) or the management co. ODVER which worries me. Is anyone familiar with this company or area?

There are lots of subdivisions that you don't hear a lot about. Because Windsor Hills is one of the newer ones and because of it's nearness to Disney you do tend to hear more about it than some of the others. It has lots of community amenities which also makes it popular. We've stayed there a few times and like it but we've also stayed in other subdivisions and like them too.
West Haven is near the Champions Gate exit on I -4 so getting to Disney is fairly easy using I-4, just a couple of exits and you're on World Drive headed into Disney (10 min). It's located near Route 27 which has lots of subdivisions and with more restaurants/shops starting up all the time. The area is nice, not too busy.
Can't comment on the house or man.co. Try looking them up on BBB site.

Presumably, if you've booked it, you've done so with a non-refundable deposit. So, that's where you are staying. At this point, the only question is figuring out how to get back and forth to the parks, and the PP gives a good route for doing so.

Thanks Wanda! I did look them up on BBB and it said they are not accredited which makes me uneasy. I paid $200 and I would lose $50 if I cancel now , so I'm not sure if I should or not.

For $50, I might be inclined to shop around---that's not too bad. The I4 access from Davenport is pretty easy, but it's still a little farther than I personally like to stay.

In the end, you may find that this is exactly the house for you, at the right price, and that's great, too.
