We have booked a villa direct through the owner at Crescent lakes, but now I am a bit nervous that everything will be OK. Has anyone stayed at crescent Lakes, How close is it really to Disney, any amenities? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,

I have never stayed there.

It is situated on Poinciana Boulevard in Kissimmee.

Whilst I have stayed on PB before at the likes of Cumbrian Lakes, Crescent Lakes is further on down and conseqeuntly a good 15 minute drive or so to the 192 junction.
I am sure it is a very nice development, but being truthful I am not over keen on the location, whilst I like Poinciana overall CL is a bit of a trek to the 192 and could be a good 25 minutes or so to Disney for example.
If anyone has stayed there and can correct me on timings then I would be grateful.

Thanks for your reply, we have found the villa on google earth, but its nice to hear what people think who have actually stayed there :cutie:

I agree, whilst we liked Cumbrian Lakes after a while the long(ish) journey did become a little tiresome, and Crescent Lakes is a little bit further on from that.

Poinciana is a long and sometimes busy road, normally though it's a decent 50 mph speed so that is in your favour at least.

Once you reach the 192 junction there are restaurants everywhere, and a Publix supermarket at the Vineland Road junction, turn right at the PB/192 junction and it's on just up on your left hand side.

Looking at the map, Johnny, would it be quicker for minkzebell to go along the 17 to the I4 (Champions Gate), then off at the new Disney exit??
Just a thought?

Possibly Tracy, not a route I have ever used. We generally just drove down Poinciana and then down the 192.
There is nothing wrong in staying on PB generally, restaurants and supermarkets are within fairly easy reach.
Just I know from experience having stayed at Cumbrian Lakes that the journey to the parks, malls etc does become a bit tiresome after a while and Crescent Lakes is further away than Cumbrian.

There was a time I used to prefer staying on Poinciana but really for a Kissimmee base close to Formosa Gardens cannot be beat.

Sorry - just being honest.

I think it would be easier to head to I4 too. We stayed on Poinciana many years ago, and the drive down the 192 can be a nuisance but only usually when the traffic is heavy, hasn't there been a new toll rd put in though?

Prefer to eat around Champions Gate or Idrive if I'm honest anyway. :goodvibes
