A better rate at Fairfield ever???

Looking at booking for October. We always stay at the Fairfield when we visit DLR. We are generally loyal to Marriott, if possible, plus we have been very happy with the Fairfield. My question is does anybody know if there is ever a way to get better rates than rack rates? I have yet to find anything, (we aren't AAA members), but wondering if I'm just missing it, and if others tend to find ways to get better pricing? Promo Codes..entertainment rates...etc??

We will stay there regardless, but they have definitely gotten more expensive the past few years.

Was hoping to see a better rate myself for Nov. Maybe someone will be able to help us out.:goodvibes

We are paying $129 for Labor Day weekend.
I think that is the best price I was able to find.

I have 2 adults, 1 child. nov.19-24. I was getting $147. Are the theme rooms nice and worth the extra money? does anyone know about the pool. Is it clean and well maintained? Are the rooms fairly quiet or do you hear every flush, door, and snore from your neighbors? Thanks in advance.

I used www.Otel.com for 10/10-10/15 and I'm getting a daily rate of $101. That said, I've never used Otel.com so I can't vouch for their legitimacy, but one workaround you can use is to try and get Marriott or another well known travel agency like Expedia, Orbitz, etc. to price match Otel's rates.

I also used Otel.com for oct 17-21st! It is my first time using the site and I got same rate

Can someone please explain this cashback. Can everyone get this. I am paying more than $10,000 for 6 rooms for 11 nights in November so any saving is worth it. :lmao:

See, I knew you guys could give me some alternatives:)

Sheetz - we have 2 kids/2 adults and need 2 queen room.

As for the other questions about the rooms: We have found them to be nice and quiet. We don't notice neighbors or anyone above us. The only thing we ever hear (and it's not a big deal) is if people are in the outside walkways close to your room and being loud at all or kids running. (it's generally a quick passing thing and isn't really an issue I don't think.
Regarding the upgraded rooms.... I honestly don't know. Every room has at least some Disney Theming (pics on the walls). We are Marriott Rewards members and somehow my husband has always managed to get us an upgrade at no cost, so we have always had theme park view. Weather or not these also are the same 'themed rooms' I honestly don't know. As we've never actually requested that... Rooms are all clean and large enough to not feel cramped. Beds are very comfy (huge thing for me!)

You know as I'm writing this I am remembering one trip we did have an issue with the toilet in our room overflowing, they came to fix it, then it did it again the very next time (with no reason). It was late at night after the parks, the manager came up with a room key for us to move and had a bellhop come help us load and unload and she moved us to a room that was a pirates of the caribbean themed room. It had two queens in the main area and then kind of a separate room (no door, but definitely a separate room). The theme was cool for a Fairfield! So maybe this would be more what they consider the themed rooms? :confused3

Anyways thanks for all the helpful responses! Checking for new rates now!

I don't know what is going on with FFI. I remember when the rates were $89 per night, then boom..$149. They want $149 for my Nov. dates and I am not willing to pay that, so I am booked down the street for much cheaper. I am checking in to FFI this Saturday for our upcoming trip and I plan to meet with the GM to see if they will work with me on the price for those dates. Not sure it will go anywhere, but its worth a try. :goodvibes We stay at FFI for every trip and consider it our vacation home! :thumbsup2 We have never had a problem with noise or anything else for that matter. We have stayed in the themed princess rooms a few times, but honestly I cannot justify the price for some themed wall border. As was mentioned before, all rooms have some Disney pictures on the walls which is really nice.

Thanks for the tip to this site....
You are right...that is the FFI in the photos. $93 is the best so far.

Yes, thank you to the person who posted this! I never realized they had photos to look through! That is in fact the FFI! Cancellation is equivalent to one night rate/fees.... I always worry about the fact we have 2 young children, I always prepare for anything! Considering the money saved, I think it's still worth it! Hoping to never have to reschedule any kind of DL Trip!
