A Baptism, MNSSHP, & FD...sweating our way through 6 days at POP!! Completed!

Few thoughts about our experience at MNSSHP.

1- We never made it to adventure land. I would have loved to have been able to see Jack Sparrow.

2- If you are able to be in MK on a party day do it. There place was 1/2 empty.

3- We missed the dance parties. We just ran out of time.

4- The Boo To You parade is the best Disney parade I have seen.

5- If you want to see the fireworks, camp out in the hub and watch the Boo To You parade as well.

6- Not a lot of chocolate candy. We prefer chocolate but with the heat it would of made a huge mess. Glad there wasn't too much!

7- Even with planning, you cannot see everything. There is not enough time. When we left there was only 1 1/2 hours left. I guess we could of hit some rides, but having a 3 yr old 10:30 was late enough for us.

Tim, I"m so sorry! I've really fallen behind all week on the TR side of the boards. The PTR thang has taked up a boatload of time, and I"ve sadly missed out on some seriously fun updates- this one included!!

Your pictures are amazing. I think one of the things I'm looking forward to most is the total and complete change in atmosphere of the park. It looks so whimisically creepy, if it can be stated that way.

The fog and pumpkins and all that... coool!

So how far ahead of the parade does the horseman ride?? Don't want to miss that!! I love the music of the villian's mix and mingle. Don't want to miss that either.

WEre the lines really long for HM or the picture for Cindy's coach?? I don't know if you even went over to HM with Juliana, so maybe yo don't know.

Anyway, I know you're headed out of town on Thursday... do hope you'll get another installment up before then.

No problem! I know where to yell:mic:at you if need be! LOLOL

It is really cool how the park changes! Not only does it change visually but the entire feeling of the park changes too! It really seems that everyone, guests included, are just genuinely happy.

The headless horseman rides about 5-10 minutes before the start of the parade.. depending where you are on the parade route. I'm going to dig up my headless horseman pic from last year. (I should of just used that one in my TR... No one would have known! LOL

It took us about 20-25 minutes to make it through the line for the coach.. so it wasn't too bad. We didn't ride the HM but I think the wait was 15 minutes when we passed there. Thinking back we should of stopped there for pictures at least.

Anyway, I know you're headed out of town on Thursday... do hope you'll get another installment up before then.
I'll see what I can do.:goodvibes

Yeah, I get around.... :rotfl:

That's what I've been hearing. I'm really happy to hear this- it's a lot of dough to fork out for just some candy. For me, it'd have to be something really, really special for it to be worth it.

I'm not sure if that person is legit? They only have 10 posts and almost all of them are the same. "wow this thread is long" LOL!

the person could be using that sentence to subscribe to the thread OR
they dont have the patience to read through all the postings.. (imagine standing in a line waiting for a ride with a person like this in front of you)

I think it is worth it. You are doing MNSSHP in September, right? :scratchin

I figured I'd be nice.... that is a weird way to sub. LOL:rotfl:

We stood by ariels grotto dance party during hallowishes. More on why later in my tr...
All7- we hardly trick or treated at the mnsshp but I had a blast. I'd definetely do it again.

I've been out of town, but congrats on your Yankees win... :sad2:

At least I still have my Eagles!

Hummmm I wonder why? :confused3

We didn't trick or treat too much either. But with the tree of us getting candy it was more then enough.

Thank you. I didn't want to bring it up to you. :flower3:

Your Eagles are on the way up... my Giants are on the way down. :sad2:

2 parks days down and 2 to go! It was Wednesday morning and we were going to go to DHS. We woke up around 7:40 and got all of our stuff together. We figured we would get a bite to eat at Everything POP then jump on the bus to DHS. We got into the food court about 8:45 and it was really busy. We ended up finding a seat outside. I ended up getting a ham & cheese omelet with potatoes.

Melody got the pancakes which she split with Juliana.

We also got Juliana a side of eggs. If it was up to Juliana she would eat pancakes everyday.

We finished up breakfast and headed over to the bus stop. While we were in line, Juliana informed us that she needed to use the bathroom (#2). The DHS bus was coming and we asked her if she could wait a few minutes. She said she could so we got on the bus. I didn't realize how close DHS was to POP. We were on the bus for only five minutes and we were already pulling into the Studios. We walked into DHS and Melody took Juliana to the bathroom. While they were in the bathroom, I ran over to Toy Story to get our FPs.

On my way over to TSM.

It was a little after 10 and the Studios didn't seem to busy. When I got to the FP machine I was in line behind 2 teens. I was waiting and waiting and I realized they had a stack of tickets that they were getting FPs for. They must of had 30-40 tickets. I had to switch lines. We ended up with a return time of 2:05. Not too bad I guess.:confused3

I met back up with the girls and we were off. We were going to head here first-

The posted wait for ToT was 10 minutes. I asked the CM about the child swap. They gave me a ticket that Melody would use after I rode. It is cool because with the child swap ticket, she could enter through the FP entrance. Here is what the ticket look like- it is basically a FP ticket. Juliana was keeping herself cool with the sprayer. IT WAS HOT ALREADY!!

I rode first while the girls waited outside. Juliana was practicing taking pictures with her camera.

That's me in the back left corner. LOL

After Melody rode, we went over to see the Playhouse Disney show. Juliana loves this show. We have seen it a couple times and she not tired of it yet. LOL

A-rod sighting.. LOL

We also got a chance to check out the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. We have never seen this show before and Juliana really liked it. Plus it was nice being able to get out of the heat for a little while.

Disney started running a promotion for Princess and the Frog. For each adult park ticket you got a voucher for a free child's ticket to the movie. We stopped at the gift shop in the Animation Courtyard and got our passes.

We were starting to get hungry and thirsty. We left the animation courtyard and headed to find lunch.

To Be Continued...

Oooh breakfast looked yummy!

Gosh, I hate getting in line behind someone who has a huge stack of tickets for the fast pass machine! :headache: Some tour groups have an INSANE amount!

Haha, looks like ToT was fun!

Gotta love the VOTLM!

Thanks, lbuzz!! I've heard only good things about this party, but really wonder if it will live up to all its hype.

I'm not much of a candy person, but do like the idea of getting some photos of some rare characters.

Your DHS day looks fun so fun. Isn't TOT a blast?? Love that one!

My kids are too old to see Disney Playhouse, so we probably won't be seeing it anytime soon.

So, where'd ya eat??

We had to choose between LM and Beauty and the Beast... we went with B&B.

Your breakfast really looked good!

I only got to go to the Playhouse Disney show one time before my kids were too old for it...I miss it!

Great start to your DHS day. I LOVE TOT--it's my favorite. We've never done the Playhouse Disney Show as our kids were well grown before they had it; and we've not done Little Mermaid in probably eight years. Maybe it's time to give it another go.

I swear I subbed to this thread! Alas, I've missed a couple of posts! K, now I am officially subbed - so as not to miss anything else!

catching up -

so no haircut, really? :guilty: oh well, maybe next time! I was discussing this with my DDs the other day and come to find out, all 3 of them would like haircuts and pixie dust during our upcoming trip. In fact, DD8 Kennedy asked "do you think we can just 'pretend' it's my first time getting a haircut so I can get ears?" So cute! I told her I would buy her ears and then explained that 'pretending' still counts as lying! Stinker!

Love the costumes for MNSSHP! You make a great Jack Sparrow. A POTC picture would have been great. I picture a Captain Morgan pose by the pirate ship sail sign. Alas, I guess my mental picture will suffice. Maybe you could do a little photoshopping?

Not much candy? Really? bummer :(

Love your ToT photo!

Is the promo for Princess and the Frog still running? I'd love to get some of those tickets!
