A Baptism, MNSSHP, & FD...sweating our way through 6 days at POP!! Completed!

just chill it before you want to drink it. Fill the sink with cold water, add drinks, add ice.. in 7 minutes they are cold enough to drink!!!! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't have thought of that! Great idea. If we bring a bottle of wine, we could easy do that!

Back in my college days, we would fill a bathtub with water and ice and put all the drinks in there. Within a few minutes instant party!!!! But I think that might be a little overboard for 1 bottle of wine! LOLOL

If you have a full bottle (not a mini), it might take a few extra minutes. don't forget to pack a corkscrew. We usually forget and have to scramble to find one!

Yea there was about 5-6 different beers and 4? different wines. I think the beer was $5.75 for a 16oz. Having a car you might be better off bringing some and just chill it before you want to drink it. Fill the sink with cold water, add drinks, add ice.. in 7 minutes they are cold enough to drink!!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip! We will definately be doing this.

I would say every time we go on vacation we would always forget a corkscrew. Now I leave a tiny cheap one in my suitcase. ;)

I never noticed the projection of the mask on the castle wall before.
I never did either. I don't know if I just never noticed it or if this is something new? Maybe I was just at an angle where I could see it?:confused3:confused3

I set the alarm for 8:15 just incase Juliana decided to sleep in... she kinda did.. if you call 7:30 sleeping in. We got dressed and drove over to the Contemporary. Juliana was snapping some pictures with her camera.

There was about 10 pictures of Puppy.

She got a great picture of the monorail.

We checked in at the gate and found a place to park. We were actually going to be on time for our 9:15 ADR! We were excited to be eating breakfast here- we've only been here for dinner.

Juliana was taking pictures of everything!

We headed up stairs and checked in.

We received our buzzer and went to take our picture.

Juliana took a picture of us waiting.

IMG_0216.jpg

We were seated pretty quickly, maybe 7 minutes. I've read many stories where people were waiting 30-40 minutes just to be seated here, so I was glad to get our table. I went up to the buffet to get Juliana's while Mel went to wash Juliana's hands. You have to eat Mickey waffles at CMs!!!!!

Plate of extras.

I started eating mine before I took the pic.... Whew, that was a close one! (and yes- that is ketchup on my eggs!)

DSC06433.jpg

The food was good. It wasn't great nor was it horrible. Our first chartacter was making his way over- MICKEY!!!

DSC06436.jpg

For some reason, I didn't get a picture with Mickey... and I'm kinda sad about that! After Mickey stopped it was time for some napkin twirling!

Another favorite came to see us!

Pluto was having a few issues with his apron so Donald came to the rescue.

While we were eating, Juliana decided it was time to play her flute AKA straw. (Taken with Ana's Camera)

Goofy was up next.

I made another pic!!!

Juliana was taking pictures throughout breakfast.

Continued.....

She even thought it was necessary to take a picture of the kitchen.

IMG_0249.jpg

Of course we saw Donald too!

DSC06449.jpg

There was one character left- MINNIE!!!! I'd figure I'd let the girls have their fun and I'll snap the pics.

We were done with breakfast when Minnie showed up, so once she left we gathered up our stuff and headed out. I love how the monorail comes through the Contemporary.

DSC06454.jpg

We decided during breakfast that I would take the monorail over to the MK to see if I could upgrade my ticket to an AP. I asked Mel & Juliana if they wanted to go but they had shopping on their mind. So we split up. As I walked toward the escalator, I turned around to wave but they were already out of sight. I know they were headed here:

I jumped on the monorail and headed over to MK. The ride was really weird.. I've never been on it before without my family. There were a couple older ladies that got on at the Poly and they were a trip. Making jokes and laughing the whole ride... you could tell they were really enjoying themselves. And they were in for a treat. When I got off the monorail and walked towards the gates, it was like a ghost town. There were hardly any people around.. did I miss something?

DSC06457.jpg

I walked over to guest services and there was only 1 couple in front of me waiting for a window to open up. They were talking to a CM about the free birthday ticket for their daughter, who was around 4, but they had no birth certificate. They started getting upset but then they got called to a window and I did too. I walked up and for some reason I was feeling nervous. I really didn't want to have to put n anymore money. I explained that I wanted to upgrade the ticket to an AP. The CM was very nice and friendly. He said no problem and scanned my ticket. He told me that there would be no charge since my current ticket was worth the same as an AP. SCORE!!!! He handed me my ticket and I was now a Disney AP holder!!! WOOT WOOT! He asked if there was anything else he could do for me. I asked if I could pick up my MNSSHP tix for later on tonight. He said no problem. I was able to get the tickets with the AP discount saving me about $11.

Mission accomplished! I headed toward the monorail to meet back up with the girls and I was sweating bad. It was about 11am and it was close to 90 already. I met the girls, who were still shopping by the way, and we headed out towards the car. We discussed the possibility of playing mini-golf before going back to the hotel to get ready for MNSSHP. Once we got outside, we nixed that idea. It was just WAY to HOT!!! We would just hang out and hit the pool before the party.

Up next... more from POP and MNSSHP

OK, finally all caught up on your TR, still need to catch up on the PTR.

Your POP pictures are great. Stinky about the view though, but I guess not every view can be a great one. The Baptism looked like fun, what a great cake, and the babies name is :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 , lol, that is my oldest sons name and he was a big baby too.

Glad you all enjoyed CRT. My Jack has the same camera as Ana, but ours is blue of course. You guys got a lot done on your first MK day, I'm impressed.

Chef Mickeys looks like so much fun, your Juliana is so cute. I love her expressions though out the TR.

Glad you got the AP upgrade no problems the second time around.:woohoo: And a discount on your MNSSHP tickets, score.

I'll try and keep up better now, can't wait to see your MNSSHP pics

Hiya,

ahhhhhh - I love the piccies with the characters at Chef Mickey's - was it worth the money??? Thinking about it for next October..... only want to do one character meal....

Tessa

Great up dates man.....Juliana has the same little grin my two year old does---to me and my wife it's like uh oh, what's he conspiring to do??:lmao::lmao:

Hey Tim,
Love the update! Looks like you had a great bfast at CM. Juliana looks so excited to be there! My kids were always so scared of the characters when they were Jul's age. The only character pictures I have is the characters hiding behind them.:lmao:
Congrats on the AP. I think you might have to book a trip after march now.
Bummer- you didn't get to golf, but I'm sure you had a great time at the pool.
There are always other trips is what I like to say.
Hope you a great Halloween. Did Juliana go trick-or-treating?

Awesome update, Tim. And I'm so happy to see you in numerous pictures this trip. :rotfl2:

I'll be thinking of you guys tomorrow.

The pictures of you guys at Chef Mickey's are so cute! You can really tell how excited Juliana was in all of them :cutie:

Glad you got your AP without a problem. Sometimes it's worth just waiting and asking another employee who actually know what they're doing!

Great pictures at Chef Mickey's! Breakfast there is soooo much better than dinner, in my opinion.
