Naturally, I am friends with several DIS'ers on VMK and when I meet somebody else from this site, I ask them to be friends. I was friends with one DIS'er whom I won't name, who very much disappointed me tonight.
We were in the pirates game together and he got mad at the player who had started the game because he hadn't had time to change his ship, and then called him something I won't repeat. I was shocked and of course felt the need to say something to him. I told him that was not right to say, and that I would be deleting him from my friends list after the game. He came to his own defence saying that he had a right to change his ship, and I responded by saying yes but he has no right to curse in a family game over something so small. After the game, he proceeded to say terrible things including: ''I never cared about you anyways; I was just using you all along!'', and the ever-classic ''You stink''
. I just deleted him and pretty much ignored him until he left, not before childishly throwing in another insult though.
First off, none of the insults directed to me even made sense; used me? For what? I never gave him anything! You stink; I don't even want to go there, its such a desperate way to insult someone when you can't think of a good come-back.
Second, and the most important thing, he was saying awful things in a Disney game that children play! Little kids were seeing his 'dictionary dancing' and were probably either confused by them, or felt the need to repeat what he was saying, even if they didn't know what it meant.
Third, and also very important, he belonged to the DIS! I always expect players who are also members here to be courteous and respectful in VMK, and I have never before seen anything less from them. I was so disappointed in him, it just made me speechless. Not only is he giving himself a bad reputation, but he's giving the DIS a bad reputation too, which makes me very angry. Its bad enough to swear in a children's game, but to give a respected site a bad name too is unbelievable.
I promptly reported the player, and hope I never again see him in the game. What he said wasn't as bad as some things I have seen people say, but it was rude nonetheless and deserves a ban.
