A bad kiss can ruin a scene!

I finally have a day off, and I'm relaxing on the sofa watching movies on cable. I watched "Someone Like You" with Ashley Judd and Hugh Jackman. It wasn't a great movie, but it was cute, and it starred Hugh Jackman (drool). At the very end, Ashley Judd and Hugh Jackman acknowledge their love for each other with a kiss. OMG! It was terrible, and actually ruined the movie for me. Note to director... If you're going to end a movie with a kiss, it'd better be good!

My top 2 best kiss/romantic scenes are:

#1 - The Bourne Identity - That kiss with Jason Bourne (i.e.Matt Damon) and his love interest Marie after he cut her hair, was unbelievable! (goosebumps)

#2 - I just recently saw this one... The Way We Were - At the end when Robert Redford and Barbara Streisand embrace... I got goosebumps the first time I saw it, and I had only seen the last 10 minutes of the movie at that time.

I've watched that movie recently and just love that kiss. It is all the pent up passion of finally REALIZING the one you love is right there along side you all along.

I've never seen the movies you have mentioned so I'll have to check them out.

I don't know, I just didn't feel the chemistry. The kiss just didn't feel real. When you see the two scenes from the films I mentioned, you will notice the difference I am referring to.

I'm all curled up about to watch The Way We Were, again. I'm losing my DVR tomorrow (switching cable company), and I wanted to get another viewing, since it's on my mind. Such a great film!

What? No mention of the greatest movie kiss of all time: the Princess Bride?? It was narrated!

Hmm. This is sad. Other than that movie, I can't think of a movie with a memorable kiss in it. I guess Doctor Who has had a lot of epic kisses in it, but that's pretty passe.

Oh! Got it! Dark City had a phenomenal kiss in it. And Star Wars (you know, Han Solo and Leia before he gets frozen in whatever it was).

As far as bad kisses... the 'romance' in Sleepy Hollow was a complete miss. Johnny Depp did his awkward schtick a little too well and Christina Ricci just seemed annoyed by it, not at all endeared.

Didn't do anything for me! LOL I also didn't watch the whole movie so I'm probably taking it out of contents.

It might also have to do with my bias of Hugh. I love him. Matt not so much.
