We will be traveling to Disney World in September with our daughters (4 months and 4 years). I am wanting to rent a few things for them (double city mini, bouncer seat, baby bath tub, and possibly a crib). The best place seems to be A Baby's Best Friend, but from reading their directions, they can not leave things at bell services at the Boardwalk Villas where we are staying. Is this accurate? How hard was it to meet them to get the items? Our flight comes into MCO around 6, so I won't have a lot of time to get the items before bedtime. What are your thoughts? Are there other places with these items that can leave them at bell services? Why can't this company?

No experience renting baby items, sorry. Did you know your Disney resort will provide you with a free pack n play? You don't necessarily need to rent a crib. I'd probably skip the bath tub too and hop in the tub with the baby on my lap. Just my opinion...

We loved A Baby's Best Friend for our DD when she was 8 mos and 1.5 at WDW!! Rented a crib each time and a highs chair the second time. Can you have them deliver it to the regular BW bell services? Maybe tip more to have them bring it to your villa?

A Baby's Best Friend cannot deliver at any Bell Services at any Disney Resort now. Disney has preferred stroller rental companies that are the only ones allowed to deliver at bell services. This happened last August. We had always used A Baby's Best Friend until the new change. Last November we rented a crib from Kingdom Strollers which is a WDW approved rental company. Kingdom Strollers were wonderful and I highly recommend them. They only have strollers and cribs. It was so nice to have everything delivered to our room since we flew in, used Magical Express and did not have a car. I would use Kingdom Strollers again. It was totally hassle-free!

This new delivery rule makes it harder to get those items....when my kids were 4 months and 4 years we stayed at BLT - we ended up just renting the double stroller....and using the villa pack n play, DDs carseat (in place of a bouncy seat), sitting propped up in the corner of the couch, and then the stroller in our room for places to put her...

For bath time, I brought one of those foam body shaped things that I was able to sit her or lay her on...they sell them at babiesrus or a few $$ and they pack well...

Will you be renting a car or using DME? That may change your arrival timeline if you are getting groceries....but I would think its about 8:30pm...

Tiny Love makes a portable bouncer and KIDCO makes a great portable activity seat. Both are on amazon and great options you could easily bring yourself.

I appreciate all of the thoughts. We are flying and taking DME. I am disappointed that is is so difficult to get these items. My baby isn't even here yet, but I am trying to plan for what might make our lives easier. I have some time to see what she needs and figure out how to get it.

We rented from A Baby's Best Friend in September. We had let them know what time our plane was arriving, then called them when we first got to All Star Movies. Our room was ready upon check in, so we called them with the room #. We got to the room to freshen up, and within a few minutes, they were there with the crib and stroller. We had an early flight leaving and they were at the hotel at the agreed upon time of 7:30 am to pick up the crib and stroller. NO PROBLEM AT ALL!!! Baby bed and stroller were both very clean. I'd use them again!!!

I've used ABBF on our last three trips with great satisfaction. However, due to policy changes they aren't allowed to drop off at luggage room, and will not deliver items past 5pm. If your flight arrives after that, you will have to schedule for the following day, or use another vendor. Unfortunately, we are in that exact predicament this year. I have a 9 month old who will not sleep it nap in a pack n play. I contacted ABBF last night saying that we were return customers and would love to use them again, would they be willing to deliver later than 5 and the answer was no. I'm really bummed out that Disney changed the policy and we will not be able to use them this upcoming trip. I rented the crib from kingdom strollers as this is the only company that Disney will allow to use the luggage room. We just can't be without a crib for the first night. I hope this helps!

Oh that's so sad with the new policy! Boo hiss, Disney! Well, I guess if you're lucky to get there and still have them deliver right to you, that's the only option.

Disney was being overwhelmed with stuff for them to hold from outside vendors. Look at the op she wanted a double stroller, bouncy seat, bath and crib. That's a lot of space to take up in a relatively small storage area. There are hundreds of families at each resort. Then the bell services people would have to deliver all this stuff meaning to get everything done in a timely manner they have to have more staff. I'm surprised they allowed it to go on as long as they did.

I know this isn't what you asked but I wanted to give some suggestions for getting around having to rent all of that stuff. Please disregard if you are set on renting:

I would just hold a 6-month-old in the tub/shower or line the tub with a towel and fill it with an inch or two of water, lay baby down, and wash her that way. We traveled a ton with both kids as babies (to Disney and also through multiple military moves) and always managed bathing them in that manner. You can get a crib from the resort but, if you are regular travelers, I highly recommend investing in the Baby Bjorn Travel Crib Light. We have flown and driven all over the country with that thing and it has held up perfectly through two kids. Worth every penny! We also have the Bjorn Bouncer which always packed flat and incredibly light in our suitcase but the price seems to have increased quite a bit since we bought ours... Still, a great option for families who travel often. If the investment is too much, though, I think a blanket and some toys would be just as ideal for baby while you are hanging around in the room.

Anyway, just throwing those things out there as options rather than renting a ton of stuff. Of course, you do what works best for your family. Hope it is a wonderful trip.
