Around the holidays, Michaels usually has some 12x12 albums for like 6.66 or 4.44. Usually on holiday weekends. So check their ad for Veteran's day or maybe Thanksgiving sales.

Have you checked office depot? They had all of their albums clearanced.

JoAnns had their albums at 50% off last week when i was there, call and see if that is still going on.

Michaels had their 12x12 pioneer albums for 4.77 last week too! Call them and see if they are still on sale.

Pat Catans if you have one almost always runs a album under $5.

I was thinking too if you don't have a ton of pics why not try a little smaller size....say 8x8. I got a really nice album at Joanns last week called the Perfect Scrapbook album by colorbok. It has a nice thick plastic covering that is expandable on the cover and comes in many solid colors. Plus because it has the page protectors built in it saves bucks!!! And if you need to copy it it woudl be cheaper because they are smaller.

If you can, I would go with 8.5 X 11 or 8x8 albums. The copying will be sooooooooooooo much cehaper that way as they will be able to use stock paper as opposed to a larger size. THe cost of the printing will probably only be fraction if you use the smaller size.

Did you see this post? ON friday and sat. (next week) 12x12 albums are on sale for 4.87 and there is also going to be a 50% off coupon good for Sunday (I think)

The scrapbooking items on sale are as follows:

Friday and Saturday only:
12 x 12 Pioneer Post Bound Albums 4.87 (regular price 9.99)
Photo and Craft Storage Boxes 2 for $3 (regular price 3.99 each)
Stickopotamus Stickers .77 (regular price 1.19)

Duh! Sorry. It's at Michaels. Geez, can't you just read my mind? ;)

another idea on copying pictures is Walmart or the like type place has photo 1 hour or so that can copy pictures for you.

do you have anyone in the family that has a scanner on their printer? If so you can use photo paper and scan the pics a few at a time. This way you would have to make each set of pages not copy them but they would be actual photos.

Just a thought.

Oh and I did realize I forgot to say my Perfect scrapbook 8x8 size was $4.50, and has a cloth cover which is covered by a thick plastic protector. Sounded like it had a plastic cover in my first post. I really liked this album and fit a good many pics on a page.Plus as I said copying these is way cheaper...sometimes as low as 60 cents at Staples or Office Max.

Let us know what you decide

AC Moore's ad for my area has 12x12 albums, top loading for $3.?? Can't remember the exact price, but if you go to acmoore.com you can see their ad online. The picture did have solid colored ones.

I did a couple of 8"x8" Colorbok albums this past spring for graduation gifts. I found them easy to use & the recipients liked them, too. They were my first 8"x" albums.
