I was just looking at a map of FW; I'm sure it was not entirely to scale, but it showed all the loops, comfort stations, bus stops, etc.. I noticed what appeared to be a walkway/bridge over the creek at the back of the 900 loop, and it seems to come out roughly behind one of the comfort stations in the 2000 loop. Does anyone know if you can indeed access this path and the 900 loop from the back of the 2000 CS (without commiting the #1 camping sin of cutting through someone else's site!)? It would shorten the walk to the center area considerably!

I have stayed in the 900 loop many times it is one of my favorites. The walkway goes to group camping site and group camping comfort station. Generally group camping is only filled on weekends. I think the woods are so thick you can not even see the 2000 loop. I will check it out in 2 weeks and let you know. If you are looking partial hook loop the 1500 loop is the best . You can also stay in full hook and pay the extra $$ but sand areas are smaller if you are in tent. When we had a pop up camper we always stayed in full hook up.

The bridge goes to group camping and there is no direct path to the 2000 loop. The map is a little deceiving and looks like the 2000 loop has 3 comfort station but one of them is the group camping CS and the 2000 loop actually only has 2. Disney should really put a walkway from the bridge to 2000. However, it is still shorter to walk out to the road and go right to the group camping area and go across the bridge to get to the Meadows area.

Yes, you can use the bridge to the group camping area to get to and from the 2000 loop. There are paths between some of the sites on the back of the 2000 loop next to the group camping comfort station. You can use those, come out behind the group camping comfort station, and then walk through, or around the edge of the group camping area, and get to the bridge. From there, you walk around the 900 loop, and you come out just across the street from the Meadows trading post. It is really a convenient way to get there. The paths I am referring to are not really designated paths, but the sites are pretty far apart in this area, and the paths are worn enough to indicate that a lot of folks walk through there. I don't consider that cutting through someone's site. There is another unofficial path like this that leads from the Little Bear (1400) loop to the comfort station there. I have stayed on the site adjacent to that path, and its use was never an issue. Ft. Wilderness campers are pretty considerate and friendly.
