At what mark can I make reservations for dining? We will be at WDW for the week of Dec. 3-10. I thought I had to wait until 90 days from the date of my (dining) ressie. Am I wrong? Thanks for any info.!

I am actually a bit confused about the new dining policy too. I am also worried about getting my NYE ressies, since we can't call until 90 days out, and our first night is NYE! I keep thinking all the folks who are staying the week between the Holidays will have gobbled up the ressies 10 days earlier!

It is my understanding that your can book all you ADRs for up to 10 days at the 90 day mark from your resort check-in date. I agree with Diane, it could easily create problems for folks arriving near or on a big holiday. I wish they would give us the ability to email our dining ADR requests to MS like they used to. Granted, there was the possibility that we wouldn't get them...but I tried to be pretty general...listing options for acceptable dates and locations along with a "time window" like between 5pm and 6pm, with the preference for the earliest available. It always worked out pretty well for us.

Of course, special events like CP always had to be booked "live".

I'm not positive about this, but I believe you can call 90 days prior to your arrival date and make ADRs for dates up to 10 days after that...which may help Mary and hurt Dianne.

My understsanding is the same as Chuck's - 90 days from your check in date, you may call and make PS/ADR arrangements for your entire stay (as long as the stay isn't more than 10 days).

Diane - According to other posts, Disney only opens a percentage of the available PS/ADR times for the 90+10 people. If you call at the 90 day mark, you shuld still be able to get what you want. Good luck to you!

Best wishes -

That's good to hear, Carol. I am looking for something quite specific for New Years Eve.

What if you change resorts during your stay?

We are staying at PoP for 1 night 12/9 and then moving over to BCV for the next 3. Does my countdown start 90 days from the 9th or 10th?

Both. You actually have 2 seperate reservations, so I am quite sure they are treated that way. Provided you can get the Disney Dining number to recognize your DVC reservation, you should be able to make them on the earier day. If not, you'll have to wait until the 10th.

For what it's worth I called MS today and was able to make a PS for Thanksgiving day 11/24 which is 100 days from today. I arrive on 11/18 which is 94 days from today. The CM told me today was the first day they were accepting PS for Thanksgiving, she didn't ask me when I was arriving.
I'm not so sure I understand this 90+10 thing.
Are holidays treated different.
Allears PS Calculator says I can't make my PS until 8/26 and the PS planning guide says I can call 8/20. I'm totally confused.

People really plan 90 days out? I call the same day or day before when I am at WDW and have never had a problem getting a ressie.

Then it's a good thing you are not planning your stay for this year during the time the free dining packages are offered. You'd be eating mostly off site or counter service unless you are OK eating at odd times.

Best wishes-
