90+10 vs. 90 days question

Ok~ called this morning and tried to get CRT for 90+10...didn't have anything available. I asked the CM if more tables would open up on the exact 90 day mark and he said no. Now, I know the last trip we did this~ we got nothing the 90+10 day but plenty of availability on the 90 day mark. I know, CMs are often wrong, but has something changed with the way they do this? Surely the people not staying in the parks will have the opportunity to get a dining reservation at the castle? My 90 day mark for the date we want is tomorrow, I just don't want to be disappointed in the morning. Do they open up more tables for the 90 day mark? How does it work? I thought I knew, but the CM has me doubting myself... he was so sure...

No one knows for sure. But after watching these threads and booking last June for our fall trip, I'm convinced they do NOT keep tables back for the 90 day mark.

But I DO believe they are not that great at getting all their tables loaded on time. If there was NOTHING for the dates you wanted at 90 + 10, then something is up. Keep checking several times a day for the next couple of weeks.

When we were booking for late September, there were several days of breakfast times that were not loaded in, and didn't show up for at least a week. No warning, they just dumped them into the system and whoever got them got them....... unless of course you were on the Dis..... word went around there pretty quickly!

Good luck!

What is the 90+10?? I am a 1st timer on the Dining Plan...

If you're staying on-site (which you must be since you are on the dining plan) then you get to make adr's at 90 days out for the first 10 days of your trip. Those staying off-site only get 90 days, so they have check back every day if they want more adr's.

Of course, on 10/27 they are changing back to 180 days.

Ok- I got the two most important restaurants... CRT for our first day and Crystal Palace for Thanksgiving... not nearly the times we wanted, but at least we have something. I will call back and see if anything opens up on the 90 day mark, but at least I know we're in. I just think if this is the case, it is crazy. I'm happy as a resort guest to be able to make early reservations, but I've never had problems making reservations at 90 days out and always gotten the dates/times we wanted... in a way, if no more tables are resleased at the 90 day mark, this makes it more difficult. I feel sorry for those coming Thanksgiving week but not arriving the Sat before (or before that) b/c apparently, they won't have anything left to choose from...

You know, I wasn't doing the math. If those dates hit on Thanksgiving, then that's the problem. That's a VERY busy time at Disney........

you're right mom2rk....however, we've been to Disney during Thanksgiving 3 times before and never had a problem getting the exact date/times we wanted for restaurants using the 90 day method. It's ok.... we got the main 2 places we wanted... didn't get Fantasmic dinner package. Our last trip was Jan 08 and I got nothing the 90+10 date, but called the mornings of the exact 90 date mark for the restaurants we wanted and got everything I wanted. I guess I'm just frustrated... the poor people who aren't staying in Disney.. there really will be nothing for them! I will keep calling and see what happens....

Well, then I guess the debate will continue on whether they hold tables for 90 days or not.....

Don't go by your Fantasmic Dinner package experience though. In January of this year, they cut back substantially on the number of Fantasmic shows they do during a week, putting those in insanely high demand even during the slow season.

Keep in mind though that they also made changes to the FDP. There is no longer a separate entrance for FDP people. You still have to get in that long line. You just don't have to get there AS early.....

We will see when I call in the morning...if something else is available for CRT tomorrow morning (the 90 day mark for that day), then I say they release other tables. But, they may not anymore... I just think they did in Jan 08. I'm not that upset about the Fantasmic package... I had read where they changed it anyway (ridiculous!) But, there are a few other restaurants we wanted- LeCellier and Rainforest Cafe- that we weren't able to get... it's ok~ at least we got CRT and CP! Plus, we have 11 people... that does NOT help... but, we've been with 13 before and didn't have this much trouble. We'll see! Now, on to the rest of the planning!

To clear up the 90 + 10 for ADR's
- it means at your 90 day mark ( of your Disney resort stay ) you can make all your ADR's for up to 10 days into your trip, NOT and extra 10 days prior to your check in date.
Hope thats clear as mud:)
