9 AM LAX Flight Airport hotel the night b4?

Title pretty much says it. Flying out of LAX on a Fri AM at 9 AM. Instead of staying in Disneyland Area the night b4 should we plan on an airport hotel instead? We will be in Parks on Thursday, but I dont mind driving in the evening.

If staying in Anaheim to arrive by 7 AM (75 to 90 minutes?)

It's 100% your decision. Plenty of people do either option.

I would find getting up extra early and arriving in plenty of time at the airport much easier than changing hotels for one night.

It takes us about 45 minutes with no traffic to get to LAX from Anaheim. I'd give myself an hour to get to the airport at that time of the morning and an extra 30-45 minutes if returning a rental car. If I had a 9 am flight and a rental car, I would be on the road by 5:15 and would enjoy the evening around Disneyland instead of staying at the airport.
