I say stick to the 10 day as it has special ports of call. Plus this cruise is the Wonders first time to really shine. The Walt suite will always be there for the next time your friend cruises. LOL

Hope this helps you decide. Either way it's Disney and a great cruise. You can't go wrong either trip you decide.

Ok had to get this bumped up a little bit, plus share my news.

My DH, DD, and I are taking the 4 day Wonder before the 10 day So. Carribean. Hubby was going to take DD on another cruise line, but I asked if we could do this one since it will be her first cruise, and he went for it.

Then when they get off while I stay on and meet my sister to to do the 10 day with her, 14 days on the Wonder, I will be in heaven!!!!!!

The question is will I need to get off, we will be staying in a CAT 7 for the 4 day, but a CAT 12 for the 10 (sister is a single mom and that is all she could afford).

Minnieandmickey - How exciting!!! I would love to stay on for 14 days!!!!!

MinnieandMickey, you will love your back to back. Fourteen days on a cruise ship is heavenly. We were on the Panama Canal trip and never did get in everything that we wanted to. Never enough time that is for sure. Not sure if you will have to get off or not. We had friends that did the Magic back to back and didn't have to get off BUT they did have the same room. I have heard of other people on the board that has said they had to get off. Never know from what I hear.

I agree, not every cruise you get to hang out in the Walt Suite (and take a bath in the huge tub while watching TV!!) Just looking at the picture of all the DISers in the tub brings up soooooo many great memories and makes me want to change my mind...but c'mon 10 days!!!!!!

Where is everyone?

We have the Roy suite for the 10 day cruise and we can't wait to see it! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc We booked a Cat 8 (I think...) for our two adult children to share.

Can you tell me what made the Walt suite special?

We were in Cat 3 this past weekend (10/20 Wonder) and it was sooo nice! The conceirege staff was soooo nice!.

I think what made the Walt suite so special to us was the friendship overall. These people opened up their suite to us and made us feel welcomed. We were spoiled with the concierge perks, the Palo souffle whenever, the creme brulee whenever, the size of the verandah. Watching a solar eclipse from it was very memorable. All that added up but I still feel the friendship was the best part. These are friends we met from the DISboards a few years ago and they all have become family. I believe there was something like a dozen of us.

I agree with what my mom said here. It was definitely the friendship we gained and all the memories that made it so special, the room just helped because there was enough room to hold all of us in one room comfortably. They were very generous and opened the Walt Suite to us. The Walt Suite has a piano and the Diser that had the Walt Suite got our waiter to come up to the Suite to bring us a cake and he played the piano and sung. We had a blast.

I can post pictures of the Walt Suite if you like.

The first two pictures are what really made the Walt Disney fun and full of memories. The other 3 pictures show some of the Walt Disney Suite.

All of us ladies fitting in the bathtub because it was so huge (atleast compared to our staterooms!!!).

Behind these doors you can have access to another bedroom with a murphy bed or you can get to the master bed/bath and verandah.

Stepht5, the wood in the Roy suite is dark wood. I don't believe you have a piano either. Other than that it is about the same. Cool, huh?

Very cool!

After the 3 days in the Cat 3 -- which was a great size for us! -- dh is really looking forward to 10days in the Roy!
The Cat 3 had a large whirlpool tub - which I never got a chance to use! :)

I told dh that after this past trip I never want to stay at Days Inn or Holiday Inn Express again. :rotfl2:

Where is everyone? Is there another thread somewhere- no posts since the 28th. I'm having trick or treat day at work. How is everyone else? Alex :confused3 :confused3

Steve - Shelby is adorable, I love that picture.

Did everyone have a good Halloween? I think we got about 15 trick-or-treaters :( That is always the highlight of Halloween is to see the little ones in costume. All of ours were between the ages of 12-15.

Hello everyone. We had a great Halloween and hope everyone else did too.
Here is a pic of my Family at Disneyland for Mickeys Halloween Treat.

We had more than 80 little darlings on our porch last night, The most popular thing seemed to be fairies.......many sets of beautiful wings fluttered across our door step. I don't know if I disappointed them or not......but we gave out Halloween pencils and Chicken Little fruit snacks.

Wow Marilee, I am jealous of you. We only had about 28. I love Halloween and all the little ghosts and goblins.

Steve, Shelby is absolutely darling. I am so glad you shared the picture. Wish my dd had pictures taken of our twin grandbabies like that!

Now Kristy, there you go again, brag, brag. ;) Wish I had access to Disneyland like you!! I love the MNSSHP at WDW..

Hey Sandy and Good morning to everyone!

Here is a pic so you can give Steve a hard time too! LOL (since he was there with us).

It is so neat to be so close to the Magic of Disneyland! It helps you get from one cruise to the next. LOL :rotfl: I wish we had the ship out our way still. It was so nice to be able to drive down and see it at San Pedro.

Poohfriend1- Thanks for the nice comments about the picture.

On another note, now is a great time to get clearance glow necklaces and pirate attire for the pirate night onboard. Since everything is 50%
off from halloween. !

Have a great day everyone.
