The $500 SBC was too good to pass up so I booked this while on the CA-FL repo. I hope DD will be able to sail with me. She is in her last year of Medical Residency and doesn't know yet what she'll be doing next year. Hopefully, she'll be able to fit in the cruise.

Hey Karen,
We were on the Repo cruise with you! Thinking about going on a 7 day after a 14 day just seemed too short :). And I have to admit the $500 was a nice incentive.

WeLuvDCL: Great job on the door magnets, love the design. Thanks for all your hard work.

Poohfriend#1: love the pic of all the door magnets. Great Job. :cheer2:

We grabbed the opportunity to get the 500.00 ship board credit as well. How could you pass that one up?

I still don't understand why people would pick the 11 day cruise and get no credits/discounts over the 10 day cruise?

I noticed an $600.00 difference bettween this cruise and the 11 day one. I dont think that one more day is worth $600. It was just funny to see people on the 14 day cruise book the 11 day cruise with no discounts or shipboard credit.

Let me know if you think we should just ditch the "How low can you go!".

Ditch it!!..Since we are really going Southeast...Just kidding. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

If you guys like it keep it....

By the way Great job on the sign Dawn and Rob...looks very cool!!! pirate: :cool1:

Is anyone in this group going to volunteer to do a newsletter? I thought it might be fun to have one. Who here is a reporter-type?

Marilee :flower:

I wish I could write!!!! I am not the reporter type and I really don't pay much attention to details!!!!

I just heard that someone aboard right now got the $500 credit for booking this cruise! It must not be selling as well as the 11 night, I guess.

I wonder why? :confused3

I was thinking about it and I think because school is back in session and it really isn't a trip of a lifetime like the Panama Canal. Heck, maybe we can go to the kids clubs like the May repo. Sounds good to me!!

Maybe, the hurricanes are scaring some people as well.

Steve, it wasn't even an option for the 11 day for us. For the price difference for one day and the ship board credit it was a given!

I'd love to be going again BEFORE September so I cold get the $500 OBC! If I had that $500 ir might truly be a "how low can you go" cruise as I crawled my way home to my cabin after atttempting to drink away the OBC. :drinking1 :drinking1

:rotfl2: That will be me (Actually more my dad) spending the $500 on BBC's!!! Me I plan on spending it on souveniers but my boyfriend wants it for beer, so we are splitting it....he gets $250 and I get $250 for whatever we want!!!

We just booked this cruise Friday (9/22) and are so excited! We haven't even gone on our first DCL but, our TA was able to get us a Cat 2 for the 10nt so.... dh said *Book it!*

We are thinking of making this a *family* cruise and inviting our 2 oldest children to join us. I'm not sure what Cat cabin we would be booking for them... Originally I had thought for a family cuise we would book two Cat 3. One for the boys & one for the girls. :teeth: I guess it will depend if one of them gets married between now and then :rotfl:

My 14dd is praying that I don't get motion sick on our DCL next month otherwise they'll be going onthe 10nt one without me! :rotfl2:

I look forward to *chatting* with all of you!

Welcome Stepht5. We did a family cruise on DCL over a Thanksgiving and we had a great time. Having cabin a bit apart keeps a little privacy times for everyone.
DW Carolyn used to get car sick and worried about sea sickness. The DCL ships have stabalizers that really help. She also took an over the counter med named Bonnine, that you take once a day. She found it makes her a bit drowsy, so she took it before bed time. She decreased the dose to a half/day, then a fourth/day, and now after many cruises she rarely take anything. So the best way to get rid of sea sickness is to take alot of DCL cruises!!! Alex
