Ugh! Elvis was very nervous last night --- unusual, and they didn't allow parents in the room...... I've never had a director do that before.....

Tonight he has cold readings - he usually does a great job with cold readings!

I don't know why he is so nervous -- hopefully he won't be tonight!

Tell Elvis to "Break A Leg!" You know what I mean.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: I think that is nasty no parents to give the boost of confidence. Maybe too many parents are the dreaded "stage mothers."

Let us know how he does???

Just remind him that he's the 'King' and of course he'll do great! :cool1:

I was thinking that this director must of had a problem in the past with a parent.... Such a shame!

I'll let y'all know how tonight goes! Thanks!!!

I vote that they need to stop killing off kids! :thumbsup2

I guess not! LOL! Oh, well! We tried. :rotfl: :rotfl: They just don't know what they're missing! :rotfl2:
I read about a half dozen posts yesterday and they had a post listing everyone's screen name and how many posts each person has made to the thread..... I don't have their kind of time to see if I can *out post* anyone!

I think that most people on the Western are the other part of that group!! They are really nice but never stop talking. The person who hosted there scrapbook get together is on our cruise though so wierd they wouldn't want you too. However the Eastern cuise thread was mad at the western since we accidently "pirated" the 10,000 post.

Has your group started a web site yet? We have 2 and that is how I keep up! Good luck keeping up. I have a WDW vaction and alot going on before then so I don't try to keep up yet!

!

Why would anyone care??? :confused3 With our 10nt group I just enjoyed getting to know all of you! I didn't care anythng about the number of postings. :) I did let a few people know that they needed to post at least a couple of times --- when I would get PM's about different activities from people that had never posted to our thread.

We did have a website until they got their panties in a wad about someone from *the other site* emailling everyone with *their* site's info ----- I think I know which passenger it is .... she was on our 10 nt cruise (talked on this thread a little) but, didn't do anything with our group... She is VERY active on the *other* site.

I have other Disney things coming up before this cruise -- and a wedding to plan!!!! :thumbsup2 I figure the last couple of months before our cruise I'll try to get to know some of them. ;)
And by then you & Matt will be back from your cruise and you can tell us all about it!!!!!!! I really wish I could do both!!!!!! maybe if I talked Katherine into not getting married (and we could use that money for the cruise!). :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Katherine really tried to figure out a way for her and her then dh to go on the 15 nt with us. :goodvibes

I private messaged David a few days back. I got a post card today.:thumbsup2 I think they were on another Holiday!!! So now I solved the problem of our missing friends.:rotfl2:

He told me that you and i had both emailed him. :thumbsup2 gmta!

Oh David! I'm coming to WALES!! :goodvibes

Steph, I hope Elvis had a gread B-day! Wish him luck for me on his next play!

Hope everyone is doing ok!

I tried to book on the repo with yall and was told no cabins were open. :( I'll keep trying over the next few months and see what I can get. I don't really care about the room as long as I have a bed to sleep in.

Yeah!!!

Ok I just talked to Disney (again) and the Free Dining is for the U.K. ONLY guest! First lady I talked to didn't know her elbow from other body parts, so I waited a few hours and called back. I got a really great guy who said the dining was a U.K. thing only and that he didn't expect the U.S. to get it this year around as Disney cycles their programs.

Your new trip looks to be fun! I can't wait to hear about it!!!

Steph, I hope Elvis had a gread B-day! Wish him luck for me on his next play!.

Thank you! He did. It was jsut family but, that's how we usually do it! :)

He didn't get in Alexander. But, from looking at the cast list (I don't know who everyone is....) it looks like she went with an older group -- the boy playing Alexander is 12 or 13 (he is short but, not that short. LOL!). Elvis said that he was jsut a little disappointed. ;)
I've had a few people mention that he should start auditioning at other theaters -- not just the children's theater -- and a friend (who's had 2 children on Barney, and a child that does national comercials and he teaches Theater at one of the Universities around here....) mention that he should get an agent. I thought that was funny since a couple of weeks ago Elvis came to me and said *What is an agent? I hear some kids have one.* :rotfl: :rotfl: One of Elvis's friends in Drama class is on Barney -- we know 3 kids that will be on the new season.
Elvis has the fact that he is small for his age going for him! Samantha has never had that luxery! ;)

From everything I've read.... the last repos were the same way and then they had a difficult time filling them at the end! LOL!
I bet in 12 months -- 6 months out from the cruise -- there will be a ton of rooms open up!
What sounds like a good idea now may not be possible in a year and a half!

They offered free dining (for Sept) to people that stayed on Disney property in December, also....... There are quite a few people on some of the other boards that booked for Sept when they were there in Dec because of the deal.

I'm not sure if the people that answer the phone always know that much. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: They may be the last people to know stuff!
I'm sure they are perfectly nice people, though..... ;)

Just let me know when they offer free dining for this September without being there last December.:thumbsup2 Do things for Disney always have to be so complicated.:confused3

How did Elvis do at the audition?? If he did not get the part, the director made a big mistake.:sad2: If Elvis got the part, the man is a genius.:cheer2:

I can't wait for this new trip. Anybody want to go with me?? I have no one to go with me this time, so I'm going it alone.

Birthday's with the family is always great, before you know it those moments will be gone. :( Hate to hear that he didn't get the part. It wouldn't hurt to try to branch out. It could be fun. I know how poor Samantha feels, I was always taller than everyone else. :rotfl: But it does have it's perks!

What I figure is people will start backing out in the next 6 months or so. School and Christmas will start to hit them and they will give up their rooms. I mean the 10 and 11 days filled up and people started dropping like flies. The trans-atlantic went like free gold, but now Disney is running specials as cheap as $99 for kids and 3rd/4th/5th persons on one of the trans-atlantic.

The first lady I talked to yesterday was AWFUL!! I knew she didn't know what she was talking about. The guy I talked to yesterday said that if they did the free dining for the U.S. customer's it would be around May or June when they announced it. Who knows, I'll keep watching the D-mail and see what happens.

We did talk how Disney tend to favor other parks over DW. Like DL, kids fly free to DL if you book the air with Disney. but that doesn't apply to DW.

The boy who got the part was Jr Hi age (Alexander is supposed to be a 7yr old boy....) and the boys who got the parts of his friends were also a little older....... I heard that she is going to try to make the show *cartoonish* so, maybe that's why she went older..... Last summer a different director did Junie B Jones and cast all teenagers!!!!!! For those that don't know Junie B is a 6yr old girl in the books......

Elvis is fine about it though! LOL! He's still :cloud9: about his Reepicheep part in this show!

The British cruise??? OH MAN!!! If I wasn't going to be just gettng back from our ABD tour then (and planning on WDW the next week...) I would so go with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been trying to find a friend to go on a cool trip with! None of my friends will go on anything longer then a local weekend trip! :sad2:

Children grow up way too fast!!!
Samantha is enjoying being tall now more then she did when she was younger. ;) It cost her alot of roles when she was younger. Now she doesn't audition more then once a year or so and has *resigned* herself to being more of a dancer then an actress.

I feel the same way about the sailings. Which is one of the reasons I probably won't be reading or posting onthe other thread for at least 6 to 12 months.

If there were free flights for kids (we usually book our air through Disney) then I would take just the kdis more often....... ;)
I'm already thinking about taking the kids one time when Jon's away on business and staying in a Mod instead of the GF (or at least not staying concierge). Jon's the one that enjoys spending alot of money on trips more then I do -- he's the one with the income so, he can do whatever he wants with the money!

Everyday when Jon gets home from work Claire asks him if he made enough money yet for her to go to WDW. :rotfl: :rotfl:
