Well, this long awaited trip report begins here... Post #1.
Today is September 20, 2007. Yesterday, the trip became real as the Cruise Documents have arrived!!!!! Cue the trumpets... Ugh, ok, so there are no trumpets...
So, I promised myself, in the proud and strong tradition of other terrific Trip Reports, I will submit one myself. I'll try and keep things brief, but come on, we all love reading about first seeing thre ships from the Beach Line, the Sailaway Party, Pirate Night, etc... So, I will try and be descriptive, illustrative and fun!! After all, vacation is alllll about fun!
Here's the cast:
Tom, me, your author and big-time Disney enthusiast... I'm the pragmatic, careful, overthinking one...
Molly, DGF, possible reader and very occasional Disney enthusiast... She's creative, adventurous and perceptive...
We make a great travel team!!!!
So, this will be the third trip on the Disney Cruise Line for the two of us. We've previously taken 4-Night Cruises on the Disney Wonder and wanted to take a longer adventure. We haven't had a REAL vacation since our last DCL journey in June 2006.
Here is our itinerary...
Friday, September 28 - Leave NYC. 1 night at The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Saturday, September 29 - Magic Time Baby!
Saturday, October 6 - Disney's Saratoga Springs...
Monday, October 8 - Sadly return to New York
So, sounds fun, right? Oh I am certain it will be excellent!!! We're looking forward to enjoying a nice length of time at sea, some very cold and very yummy drinks and meeting some new people!
Thanks for reading and I hope I can entertain you enough to make you want more... We plan on making this one of the best trips of our lives and we are really looking forward to it... Now if I can only find a way to get work over with faster!
Stay tuned!!!!!!!
