Off to WDW this morning before it gets too hot and busy there. I will be back in time to watch the Dream pull out since I have friends cruising on her today! Its their first Cruise ever!!

I am trying to plan an Aug trip to the world for my son's 12th bday

looking at rrenting some points but looks like the pickings are pretty slim

Hope evryone is enjoying their Sunday ~ I am thrilled the kids are going back to school tomorrow !!!!

Just got home from Animal Kingdom and had a great time. Lots of good people watching today.

I had a fun but odd experience there too.
We were sitting on a bench inside the park waiting for them to drop the ropes and I see a man starring at me. Slowly he makes his way over to me looking kinda sheepish.

I looked up with a raised eyebrown and half smile as if to say can I help you when he shyly said are you Kathy?

I was shocked and said yes, he said I knew it was you!!! I saw your photo about 4 years ago on the Dis.
What are the odds of running into him at WDW with the thousands of people there.

Then he told me who he was and I had chatted with him when we were booked on a cruise that we had to cancel. I wish my memory was that good
He is actually on the magic the week before us.
So that was fun but strange at the same time.

Yes he told me someone on his cruise was on my cruise and we did figure out it was you Plus on your cruise Denise (Dixielady) is a friend. We have cruised together 2 or 3 times now with the Bananaheads!!

Do you own DVC? If not, why not? If you go to WDW or other Disney resort every 2 - 2.5 years, it almost always pays to purchase DVC, with some exceptions (ie: Florida resident discount, SOME Canada discount(s), CM discount, etc). We've owned since 1994 ... added on twice since then.

Suppose to be stormy today in Florida. I wont complain as ong as it doesnt rain on thursday for the Adventures away party on the Dream. I dont like it when they move it inside due to bad weather. Plus I like ot stand on deck 12 and wave with my Mickey hand. Even if it rains I will be there facing the web cam waving at all of you!!!



Ok here is another question to help us get aquainted.


Do you have any pets? Dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, mice, rats, hamsters, fish any pet will do. Plus if you have a pet do they have any odd habits or a story about something they did?






We have 2 rescue dogs.
Minnie who is named after Miss Minnie Mouse since she is black and white . She is boxer / Boston Terrier mix.
Her odd habit is:
She thinks she is a person. When she sits her hind legs go straight out and when she sits on furniture she will shove herself back in the corner and sit up like a person until she her back gets too tired. I have aphoto of this, if I find it later I will post it.

Pixie is part Greyhound and part Golden lab. She is 102 pounds and afraid of every little noise.


Ok who else has a pet??

I actually have pictures of her watching Ravens games, it's actually quite amusing. We have had her a little over a year, but it seems like forever! We also have two rescue cats...

Cleo (also short for Cleopatra because she IS Queen and don't you forget it) is an almost 10 year old grey tabby. She's very much a loner unless she wants scritched, and then you better drop everything you are doing and take care of it. She's very attached to Sulley, and will only sit with me as a poor second...and if Sulley comes into the room she jumps like she's been caught in the act.... She's good at shunning us when she's mad and if you leave the room before the shunning is complete she will follow you to the new location so she can shun you there. (she sits in the middle of everything with her back to you)

Mongo is almost 9, a long-hair black cat with some Maine Coon in him, mostly looks, not brains. His name is no accident. He was named Mocha by the rescue group, but his first day home, we discovered Mongo fit him ever so much better and if you've ever seen Blazing Saddles, you will immediately know what I mean! He's a lover and 'talks' constantly...don't lock him out of the room, he wants to be where you are. He follows us like a little puppy. He fails at shunning. When he thinks it's time to go to bed, he comes and sits in front of the television and stares at us.

We got them both at 12 weeks old.
