By now EVERYONE who has contacted me to participate in Fish Extenders should have their list. If you do not, let me know ASAP!

I've worked really hard to try to accommodate the group. There are 2 main groups, a group that wants to exchange with everyone, and even a late booking group.

I hope that everybody has a great time with this. This is going to be amazing! Don't forget to allow for luggage space for bringing your gifts, and probably even more space for bringing everything home!
This has been an active, large group. I'm looking forward to doing Fish Extenders and the meet up!

Sorry, I did not recieve the list for the Late Group....I previously sent you a private message with my email (actually think I sent a whole bunch of them ) let me know what I have to do...hoping to work on these over the long weekend, just need to know # of Men/Woman/Children.

WOW .. that's a LOT of people! Did Lori request to join FB? I have to match names from the introduction to those on the Facebook request. Let me know if anyone else in your group has made a request to join the FB group.

We've never put our name(s) on any of our FE's, though others sometimes do. Sometimes, after the cruise, someone will post a message on DISboards or FB asking who made "x" or, where did someone find "y." If my memory is correct, I believe some people were rather fond of specific items, and would like to know where they can be acquired, or how something was made.

On a separate now, on longer cruises, some guests may choose to participate in "Secret Mickey," where you give several smaller gifts, followed by one larger gift. The latter gift is given at a luncheon near the end of the cruise. It is at this time when your identity is revealed to the recipient. This has no bearing on FE's ... just thought I would mention the Secret Mickey.

Steven, has there been any thought about a shuttle from the Sheraton to the port on Saturday morning, or because of different boarding times is a taxi the better option? I have a 11:00 am boarding time.

Old San Juan does not have a shuttle service like other tourist areas. My understanding is that Pan American Port is 2.2 miles from the Sheraton Old San Juan. Hotels will call a cab, but cabs should be readily available in OSJ. There are two types of cabs ... an airport cab, and a local (metered) cab. I am not sure if local cabs use sedans, mini-vans or SUV's. There is a shuttle van service posted on page 1 of this thread, but it is $85 (+/-). Based upon the price, it does not seem like it would be financially prudent to organize a group of people to share a van, especially given the different schedules and boarding times.

How many are in your party? There are two of us. If there is a chance to fit us in a min-van or SUV, we'd likely be willing to share a taxi. Once you get to 10 posts on DISboards, you are able to send and receive private messages. You might consider posting two generic messages about the upcoming cruise ... to boost your post count. Once you get to 10 posts, send me a PM indicating whether or not you are staying at the Sheraton OSJ. If so, please indicate your last name, so we can touch base with you when we arrive.

I believe the 11AM you are referencing is actually an arrival time, not a scheduled boarding time. Typically, boarding begins between Noon and 12:30PM for Concierge and Platinum Castaway Club members (depending on when the ship is ready). Gold, Silver and non-Castaway Club members usually begin boarding by 1PM. Of course,the earlier you arrive, the faster you are able to get boarding procedures accomplished, and hence, get a lower boarding number, which enables you to board earlier.
