Youre right youre right. I guess I just never thought it would get this far. I dunno. The thought of changing jobs just kinda scared me. I have grown old and have grown uncomfortable with change! I guess I have known my decisions are never good so I get nervous that I am going to mess up again but this is in His hands so if it works, then He wants me to go but meeting new people...ICKKY!!

Well, I am in the thick of things getting ready for this school year. I wish I didn't pressure myself as much as I do; I guess it is part of my type A personality. I want the whole year planned now, the room set up and decorated yesterday, and all my copies for the first 3 months done and filed as of 10:00 tomorrow - and no, it won't happen, none of it. I was going through my plan book today and when I got to the week of fall break (this cruise), I was smiling like crazy!!!! Soooo, I am just going to try to relax and focus on the great kids I am blessed to have this year and all the things I get to teach them and learn from them. Right! I will still put pressure on myself to get it all done and will need this cruise more than ever.

Wow. I couldnt imagine teaching. Yes I would be like you. Get it all done now. What year are you teaching? Has classes started yet or will they start this week?

I teach at a small Christian school - high school freshman English and 8th grade English. I have been teaching for over 20 years from pre-K to 9th on a full-time basis and up to 12th subbing. The students start next week. I am teaching an honors level class and a period that is mixed cp and honors; I've never taught honors at this school. It covers much more material, so there is a lot I have to be versed in to teach it. I really do have incredibly great kids and I love being with them. I just always want to give them the very best education I can. It will all happen; I may have to stay late or go in over the weekend, but come next Tuesday, I'll be ready for them!

Oh how cool! Could you move to Nashville....well north Nashville really...and get a job teaching at our Christian schools? The teacher here skipped the course on how to teach children fairly....or something went wrong somewhere. That is why Victoria is being home schooled. Between bullies, well, mean clickish girls, and idiot teachers (she was suppose to go to extended care one day so her teacher decided that would be the perfect time for Victoria to catch up on her work since she has a hard time getting her work done. That would have been fine if she had informed extended care about it! I drive up "where's Victoria? I dont know! I dont have her on the sheet! WHERE COULD SHE BE THEN!?!?" I go into full blown panic mode when out waltz her with her teacher as her teacher decides to inform me of her over-and-beyond-ness of helping my child after hours), I decided that I could do a better job at home. Are you really attached to your way of life? It is really peaceful here!

One of the beauties of the DIS! I am friends with several folks I met on here before the SSMC08; in fact I am cruising with two of them on this cruise and the four of us are meeting up with 2 more the weekend after the cruise. A fun, friendly, and supportive DIS group can make the trip that much sweeter!!!

Jen - my hubby is a programmer too (Java, PHP, or just about whatever is needed)! I tried my hand at it a few years ago but am much happer now in IT project management! He's actually changed jobs recently - and he knew which was the right move to make after interviews, he even turned down a few before deciding. So relax - you don't HAVE to change jobs, and its really just an exploration. Talk to them, see what you think... and then a decision will come!

We're still waiting impatiently for a cabin assignment! Yikes, I'm too neurotic for this GTY category! Hoping we'll at least have it by when we hit 45 days!!!

Hope all the teachers are having success pulling their things together for next school year! My kids can't wait to head back to school - they both love it, luckily!

Yes, Tiffany & I will be participating in the fish extender! Still don't have our room number yet or our dining information but will post that as soon as I can.

On a side note my soon to be ex-husband ran into the Jonas Brothers last night. They stopped in 8 miles from my house! Thought it was neat...Tony had said they seemed to be real stand up guys! (It was only Nick & Joe, Kevin was tired and went back to the hotel). Must admit I was a little jealous that I had to work (not that I would have been out with Tony...lol).

Btw just thought I'd share that Tiffany and I are best friends from high school and she is like my sister. Each of our families have pretty much adopted each other and while most people are celebrating anniversaries, birthdays or just family time, we will be celebrating new beginnings as she is recently divorced and chances are after a year and half seperation I will be as well.

So excited for the trip! I feel like the little kids in the WDW commercial who cannot sleep!

Morning! YES!! We've been FE shopping (and making) like crazy! Hoping to have most of the things put together by the beginning of Sept since I just found out I'll be on a business trip from Sept 12 to 21! Yikes - then we leave for Florida on the 24th! I'm gonna need the cruise I think!

And still no room assignment for our GTY room. sigh. I'm trying to be patient and only check a few times a day - instead of once an hour! LOL!

Awww I remember the first day of Kindergarden. I have about.....50 pictures of that day? LOL My neice is in Kindergarden this year. They grow up so fast dont they? That was my first big sign that my daughter was really growing up fast even though she was in pre-k 4. It was like, "awww that's not REAL school. She is still my baby" but kindergarden....WOW!

Everytime I think I see an end to the tunnel so I can work on FE gifts, another rush order comes in. I am in no way complaining that I have work, I just cant work on FE gifts when I have orders and I am getting kinda anxious I wont get to them
