<font color=navy>Here are some pics from our trip. They don't do the real thing justice - I'll be doing a trip report soon:

Here's a pic of the rainbow over Nassau.

The ship at Castaway Cay

These pics are from the kayak excursion @ Castaway Cay - I highly recommend doing it:

That is the Wonder in the background:

We first went to a lagoon, then to a river, and the tide took us back to the ocean - it was so clear there.

After getting back to sea we kayaked to a secluded beach.

And we were given some time to swim there.

Great pictures! My family would love to do the Kayak excursion at CC. We have never tried kayaking before. Is this an excursion that people can do if they have no experience?

It looks wonderful!

<font color=navy>You don't need experience to do the kayaking. There was a family of 4, and the two girls were probably 10 or 11 yrs old. There were also a lot of people who had no experience, and they kept up fine.

The guides, Ricky & Trevor, did a great job making sure everyone was comfortable, and they were there to help in case anyone tipped their kayak - no one did. I even had an opportunity to take pics. ;)

I highly highly recommend this trip. :sunny:

MJ:

John just told me that you posted pictures here. I thought to myself..."OMG! That picture of me in the water...I'll kill her if she posts it". It was not at all funny to me that small children were running up to me, throwing pales of water at me because they thought a wayward whale had beached itself. I'm so glad you didn't post that picture :)

Oh, and folks...you'll never meet anyone nicer than Mary Jo. Top notch lady and a lot of fun!!

Wow! That looks a really neat little excursion there MJ - I'd never really considered it before but I may now :)

Thanks for sharing the great pics :)

Great pics! Thanks for posting. the rainbow is incredible.

There is a river on Castaway Cay? How long was this tour and what times did it run? Price?

Thanks for the pictures! I was there on that cruise and was so happy that the weather cleared for our Castaway Cay day after the rainy Nassau day!! We had three separate castmembers tell us that the weather on Castaway Cay that day was the BEST weather they've had in a month there! :)

That rainbow over Nassau was incredible though. What a thing to see as we docked!

Ahem. I get commission on any payments made for pictures of me in compromising situations.

<font color=navy>ohiominnie, I kept an eye out for lime green ribbons, but didn't see any Disers that I know of. Did you also see those bursts of color coming out over the clouds?

Pete ;)

I didn't lime green myself. I did go to the DIS meet at 3:00 at the Promenade Lounge on embarkation day. We were there about 10 minutes before others strolled in and by that time ds was miserable in his wet swim trunks so we couldn't stay long. If anyone came in after that, we missed them. :(
