The wish coordinator's name is Crystal at the Children's Wish Foundation. She has been speaking to someone at Disney, not just her travel agent, so someone there should know what you are talking about. Good luck!

SCBelle: we did not cancel, but we do have a room that adjoins (to a stranger). If they are able to guarantee you two outside cabins on the ship but not 2 adjoining rooms, perhaps strangers in adjoining rooms will give you their cabins? I'm happy to be moved (even once things settle down and we're on the ship); if the people next to us will do the same, maybe they can put you in our 2 cabins.

This, of course, assumes that there are extra cabins on the ship to put us in at the same category level!

You all have been SO great! Our flight has been cancelled to Orlando now and the possibility of flying out Monday to board the ship immediately upon landing is not an option because they are talking about closing OUR airport Monday morning!! (We live in Myrtle Beach, SC). Thank you so much for your prayers, pixie dust and efforts. This will all work out fine and Annie will have her cruise - just a little delayed. Have a wonderful cruise without us Bon Voyage!!

Awe! Thank you so much. (This is Laura and Annie's mom) I feel like we are a part of a new family. We won't be able to drive down because the hurricane is actually headed this way, so we would be driving right into it. We were hoping to fly over it . It's ok though. I guess we have opted for a hurricane party instead.

The good news is that "Allears" who posted this thread to begin with may be able to use the discount they are getting by sailing on the Magic now, to re-book and sail with us in the near future.

CM_Mom... Allears asked me to ask you if you know from your daughter where the Magic is spending this time until Monday. And if there are any rumors that they will still be leaving out of Port Canaveral. They are riding out the storm in a hotel in Orlando and he is apparently going through complete withdrawal without access to the board.

Allears said to tell "all his people" hello! I'll relay any messages you have for him.

SCBelle - I spoke with a woman at DCL reservations and she couldn't help because she didn't know what I was talking about. She claimed she couldn't do anything without a reservation number, it sounded like she was having a rough day. She suggested I give you the available stateroom information and have your travel coordinator try.
So here it is: 6072 & 6074 are the staterooms and the names on the reservations are Sergio & Alicia Gardea. Hope this helps, good luck!

sgardea - Thank you so much, but our flight has been cancelled now due to the closing of the Orlando airport and now they are planning to close the airport here in Myrtle Beach. I guess we will have to reschedule. Bless you for trying.

WOOHOO DISNEY!!!!! We're going!!!!!! Disney just called and said that they have been following this thread and wanted to do everything they could to get us on the ship!! After about 3 hours of pulling strings, we are officially booked on the MAGIC!!! I can't even believe it.

We are in the adjoining rooms graciously allotted us by sgardea!! Thank you SO much!!! I officially dub you an honorary wish granter!!

The girls are beside themselves!! They were screaming when they found out! We will be with our friends afterall. God truely works in mysterious ways.

If not for this board (and Disney of course), we would not be going on that cruise. Thank you all so so much I don't even know what to say. Perhaps the fact that you have made a little girls wish come true will be enough! Bless you all.

Okay, maybe it's just because I'm in the middle of the hurricane and I'm a mush at heart, but SCBelle's post just made me tear up and now my monitor is all fuzzy . . .

I am so happy for you and your family, and hope we can stop by and say hello.

A friend of mine has a son who is 3, and he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma last year; reading Annie's site makes me think of him and how strong these amazing children can be in the face of such adversity.

I hope we can stop by and say hi to you and your family; kudos to Disney for coming through for you during a time that is particularly difficult for them as a company, for their employees, and for their bottom line. This is truly magical.

PS, tell Allears that the Magic was heading for SAFE and CALM waters after they debarked the guests Friday night and the crew are shining up the ship for all of you.

Marcy - I have a friend here (who I met through the cancer journey) who has a 3 year old son diagnosed with neuroblastoma too. It wouldn't be the same one would it?

CM_Mom - We are flying into Gainsville (the only airport anywhere in Florida with any availability at all Monday morning) and then renting a car to drive to the Orlando airport. Then we are taking the Disney shuttle from the Orlando airport to the ship,which I get the impression is set to sail from Port Everglades at this point. Is that still the case or does anyone know if there have been any changes?
