Awesome news!!!!! I hope your family has a "wonder"ful time on the "Magic".:earsboy:

"Allears" has been such an awesome ambassador for calm and reaon during these stressful times that I'm thrilled this worked out for your families to be together!

I'll be praying for Annie and your whole family.

I feel a little stalker-ish for posting this, but I have to mention the highlight of our embarkation.

We were crammed in line waiting to go through security tonight, and the crowd was not pleasant after a very long and difficult day. I was holding my 19 month old dd, who had not eaten anything of substance since breakfast. I gave her a tootsie roll, and she was smearing her tootsie drool all over me.

There was a young girl next to us who kept smiling at my dd. The young girl was probably 11 years old, with cute little braids and a huge smile. She was giggling watching my dd attack me, and she told me, several times, how cute my daughter was.

I told my dh how wonderful this young girl was, and how happy she was even in this impatinet crowd, and how wonderful it is that she could focus on my giggling baby instead of the chaos.

When the young girl tunred away, I saw that she was wearing a Wish t-shirt and a name tag that said "Annie".

I felt odd telling her that I knew her story and that i was so happy she was here. But to Annie's mom and sister, if you read this when you get back, please let her know that she brightened my day. She'll probably remember the crazy blonde lady whose baby was smearing her with tootsie roll juice and giggling like crazy.

Sniff, sniff!  I just got done reading this entire thread and I'm sad and happy at the same time.

Sad at the thought of what this child has to go through in her life, but extremely happy that she'll be sailing on the Magic! Way to go everyone for helping to make this little girl's dream a reality!

I can't imagine the smile on that little princess: face when she meets ::MickeyMo and ::MinnieMo ! Happy sailing Annie and family!

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!! I just saw this update that Annie's wish came true!!

We're back! What an adventure and a truly Magical Trip.

Yes, they made it to the ship, and we can't begin to tell you what a special trip this was. We had given this cruise as a Christmas present to two of my wife's aunts, one is 88 one just turned 77. We had to change the date twice and unfortuneately the 88 year old has been stricken with cancer and could not be with us. But we did have our other aunt and her son.

I can't begin to tell you the fullness in our hearts as we sat around the table for twelve! To be able to share this incredible experience with the people we love and to see Annie healthy, glowing and just lit up the entire time!

She loved everything as did her sisters and her parents. We got to share the Magic with these very special friends knowing that it was the power and glory of God who brought Annie through this year and if He had to use a hurricane to get her wish fully granted, well than so be it.

It is a good thing the house lights are down in the theatre during the shows, cause I was tearing up big time at the end of Disney Dreams, realizing that some dreams really do come true!

To all of you who swept our loved ones under your wings and helped make this happen, we can't thank you enough! They have discovered and new and exciting group of friends who many times reflect the greatness of human beings.

I will have a trip report posted some time soon. Be warned, it will be long - this was a big adventure! I haven't had a chance to actually puruse the boards yet, but I can imagine there are some interesting posts about this past week. Be further advised that my position as a "Disney apologist" is firm and secure and we think they did a phenominal job under some incredibly difficult circumstances. Besides, who were we to complain, Annie was with us, a fact that was not we can only feel humbly blessed about!

Catch up with you all soon!

John

Glad you had a great trip and I was brought to tears when I read that your family members were able to get onboard the Magic to experience it with you. How wonderful! I had a son who was very ill at Duke University and although he has fully recovered I understand the pain of having an ill child. We were all praying for them and will continue to do so.
Even though I have disagreed with some of your posts I am thankful for your bright and optimistic outlook and appreciate all opinions that are posted with respect. Welcome home and we look forward to your trip reports.

I'm glad you all had such a great time.

I just went onto Annie's website to see if the sweet girl we kept running into was Annie, and it clearly was; we saw her at so many activities and it was great knowing that she could experience the Magic and have such a great time! On the last night, she was in one of the stores deciding which sunglasses to buy -- how great that she's well enough and healthy enough to be making such typical teenager decisions!

Hey everyone!! This is Annie's Mom, I actually splurged and got my very own user name! Now my daughter can have SCBelle back to herself.

The trip was truly "magic"al and I will be making a new post to go into detail but wanted to let you all know that "Miniemania" is me. During the whole trip I was mentally writing all of the great moments to share with those of you who blew pixie dust and prayers our way to help make this happen. I kept looking around hoping I would meet some of you. Looks like at least one of you "met" us. I was with Annie when she was choosing the sunglasses  sure wish you had introduced yourself! I wouldn't have thought of you as a stalker at all :p

Watch for the new post and read about our very own "Disney Dream"

MinieMania, check your PMs for info on your stalker. :) I assume you were the petite brunette being run over by my daughter. :)

I just recently joined this board and was reading through...
I can say you "can feel the love" of the people on this board...gosh "what wonderful phrase".

To Annie, if you are reading this: Sweetie, you have touched many lives in your voyage to your "Magical" wish. Your courage and beaming smile is enough to move mountains. I am so very happy that you will live the rest of your life with the memories from you and your family's magical adventure. I am sure you know that you are very special to many people - even to people you do not know - never loose sight of your dreams - they will come true!!!! ::MinnieMo
