I was there for this too. Personally I thought it was pretty cool to see the place done up, and it was fun dressing up for Halloween which I haven't done in years. I was Ali G and my wife was The Mad Hatter, if anyone noticed us. ;-}

I saw an Ali G! Are you a tall guy? I bet it was you, I doubt there were any others Ali Gs at the MK that night! :) Awesome!

Adventureland is not the place to be come parade time b/c you're virtually stuck there. If you just get there and haven't yet covered it, it's ok. But if you've just finished it and it's parade time, you're stuck.

AMEN TO THAT ONE!

Well we are going with a big group so we are planning on buying the photopass cd since it will only cost a little per family. I'm so excited about getting my picture taken with the ghost but someone on another post said the ghost didn't show up on thier cd. I was just wondering if that was normal or hers just got messed up. I definetely want the picture but I don't want to spend the money to buy it if it will be on my cd. I could wait until I got home to look at the cd to see if it worked then order it but I would just rather buy it while I was there so I wouldn't have to pay shipping if possible so I'm just trying to find out if anyone else has this picture on a photopass cd.

:teeth: Yeah, guilty as charged. I was wondering if the costume would go unnoticed but man the reception was great. Lots of people screaming, "Yo Ali!" and even 2 girls telling me I had the best costume there all night. :thumbsup2 (I know that isn't true, but it was cool to have it suggested)

Did you go as anything?

Our friends from the Uk, called us after the party. To say it was "just ok"! Im a bt bummed cos we go to MNSSHP on the 12th, its oour first and my DD4 was sooooooooooooo excited. I feel a bit flat now :confused3

What time is Minnie in her house for pictures? Is she dressed as a witch?

What time is the coach out?

These are the 2 must dos for my DD, as well as Ariels dance party, and seeing the villians.

We wont worry tooo much about candy, though friends said Tarzan and Jane were handing some out ??? anyone know where?

Im trying to keep all these things magical for my DD, so I want to plan well, to minimise the stress, if its busy :teeth:

Thanks guys

Nah. It was my first MNSSHP so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Maybe next year though.
Mine too, but I threw caution to the wind. I think the best costume I saw was Zorg. WAY too many pirates...

We were there too! Thought it was kinda crowded but not nearly as bad as MVMCP we attended last year. We entered around 5 PM. I think the CM's did a great job of getting everyone out of the park. When we entered, they had already sort of divided Main Street into 2 lanes for those enterting for the party and those exiting the park. Loved seeing the park all decked out for the party. Got quite a lot of candy, saw Woody in Liberty Square, King Louie, Timon, and Tarzan in Adventureland. Saw the 2nd parade from Frontierland with minimal crowds. LOVED the parade! The fireworks were the best I have ever seen. We waited and saw the last Villian Mix & Mingle and got pics with most of them.

About the woman that fell in front of the castle... we were standing a couple of feet away from her. It looked pretty bad. I asked a cast member a little later and he said she would be fine but they were taking her to the hospital to get checked out.

I agree-- WAAAAY too many princesses- but what are you going to do when your little princess- wants to be a princess!? :rotfl: I dont think there is an arguement there!- and you wont win!

Now- what is a Zorg- I do have a piture of something that I have no idea what it is, but it looks like it could be called....a Zorg....

The fireworks were unviewable pretty much from where we were, so that stunk. The crowds were really heavy, imo. But all in all it was a fun time. We left before park closing and I didn't end up with too much candy. :(

I would have to think about it, but I would probably do it again.

omg! I saw you. We were sitting down in tomorrowland and you and your wife walked by. I turned to my friend and said 'omg! Ali G! Who dresses up as Ali G?' and she was like.. 'whos Ali G?' lol :rotfl:

You looked just like him!!

I saw Zorg too. I had to do a double take because for a second I thought he was an official character. Very very well done.

Hm... Were we at the same party? I ask because we also went on 9/22. At first we thought the place was packed but then we noticed that none of the rides had any waits.

Every ride we went on was a walk-on. Even the HM, in fact, there were just about 15 or 20 of us in the stretching room.

We did all of the trick or treat lines (just candy, no characters) and none took more than 5 minutes.

We found a great spot for the fireworks in front of the castle 15 minutes before the show and there were plenty of other spots around us.

We saw the 2nd parade without any problems either and we just walked up to it when it came.

Maybe we somehow avoided the crowds without even trying?

Weird.
I was there that night too, and had no problems getting on rides-even HM. By the way did anyone see Madame Carlotta...OMG, so funny! I think a big part of it is my sister and I are both kind of "go with the flow" types of people. We just kind of walked around the park after the first parade and trick or treated and rode rides as we came upon them. Nothing had more than a 5 minute wait, in my experience. We have also gone in July though ,so I'm sure the crowds that were there on 9/22 seemed tame in comparison. I would definetly do MNSSHP again. We did dress up as pirates but I don't care that there were so many of them. It was way fun to ride POTC( one of my favorites) dressed as a pirate. There was a baby there dressed as Yoda-he was so darn cute, characters were stepping out of the first parade to say hi to him. I would have loved to get a picture, but I didn't want the parents to be worried that I was some creepy person..

What is everyone's opinion on how the new system of not clearing out the park completely is working? Did you see a lot of bystanders without wristbands? Just curious. Thanks.
I had a total of 3 CMs ask to see my wristband...and I was dressed up! :rotfl: But I'm glad that they did check-not fair if people who didn't pay for tickets got to do the same stuff as those of us who did. It was my understanding that they did clear out the park completely at 7:00pm. When we got there around 6:45, there was a mass exodus of people leaving the park.

We were also there on the 22nd. Our biggest mistake was going to Toontown. Avoid it like the plague! There was a huge mass of people just stopped. Our kids rode Goofy's BS and we left.

We saw them setting up the coach around 6 pm, but never made it back over there to get a pic :guilty:

The parade was fantastic! We were right in front of the Hall of Presidents and had a great view. The Headless Horseman was awesome. We watched the fireworks in front of Crystal Palace and met Master Bob! He was shooting video for the Dis :woohoo: I felt like I had met a celebrity.

The longest lines were getting autographs, the rides were pretty much a walk on. But it was a LOT more crowded than I expected it to be, and I checked to see if people were wearing wristbands. Didn't see anybody without one.

OK! I googled a Zurg- an Buzz Lightyear came up and this is what it was:

and then I googled Zorg and the Move the 5th Element came up!

So- I might go with the Buzz Zurg........ :confused3

:goodvibes Thanks. I was seriously convinced most people were going to have no idea. Growing the real goatee was the worst part of it! LOL

Here's a picture my wife took of me while we waited for the parade, for reference... :rotfl2:

We arrived at the park around 6:40pm and a non-MNSSHP family was directed to a special turnstile. I assume they were checking if they had ADRs and if not were not allowed in.

Last Year Tarzan and Jane were along the jungle path (near the jungle cruise)

There is a path from toontown to tomorrowland and Alice in Wonderland and her friends are along this route (you get a ton of candy too) Last year the walrus was along this route as well as several others.

I also belive there is a Stitch dance party in a restaurant in Tomorrowland (can not think of the name of it.

My husband and I had a blast last year and are taking our kids for their first time this year. The party is what you make of it like many have said on here. We loved it and are so happy to be going again this year. i think for us knowing that this won't be our last trip makes our vacation a lot eaiser, we don't rush we just enjoy. (now with the kids this year we'll see if its as peaceful...probably not..lol :rolleyes1
