I have been reading the boards and now I am in panic mode. What are the chances of having a less than crowded vacation???

School is back, in most states if not every state. Which is why I figured it would be a great time to go.

HELP

According to the site that shall not be named (Google unofficial guide), all the days of your trip are between 4 and 6 crowd-wise on a scale of 1-10 (there are no 1s or 2s, and very, very few 3s). It's one of the least crowded weeks of the year. We'll be there the week before, and I'm hoping for very short waits.

I just hope you have your ADRs.

It will be absolutely dead, as far as dead gets at WDW these days. I was there last year at that time. Very very very slow. ADRs are a must because of the free dining, but attractions, everything is a walk on.

We went that time last year. Other than it being blazingly hot out, the crowds were not bad at all.

I am going the week before also.

What are the crowd levels for Sept. 12-19?

TIA

September is a great time to go. We have been going during September for years now. It is always less crowded then other times of the year though not as slow as the 3rd and 4th weeks of January IMHO.

We go for a week in January and a week in September at a min. every year. While the crowds have gotten heavier over the years, due to the travel industry coming around, they are still less then other times of the year. We went down for a long weekend in June and the crowds cannot compare.

So how is September? Relatively speaking the crowds are the best you are going to get.

Thank you everyone!! It puts my mind at ease!! :)

I am bringing our foreign exchange student with us, so we should have a great time!!!!

THanks again:goodvibes

We're going the following week and first week of Oct. Any thoughts on what the crowds will be like then?

We were there Oct 3-15 for our honeymoon in 2005 and it was pretty much dead as well. The only time it was 'crowded' (which it really wasn't crowded) was probbaly on some Jewish Holiday during October, Not sure which one it was.

This is good news! We'll be there the 20th to the 26th! Love to hear short waits. We've got all of our ADRs made and just can't wait to get there!!!!!:cool1:

We were there mid sept last year and everything was a walk on. Restaurants were busy though. This year we will be there 9/22 and 9/29 and our hotel is SOLD OUT!! But it is an all star, and we are going when the budget minded are taking trips!;)

I'm worried disney may be very busy because I am going the week of Sept. 28 and our hotel is sold out as well!:scared1:

I have been to WDW during the last week of Sept for the last two years, here are my observations:

1. Crowded in Sept = Sparse in July

2. The levels of crowds during School session depends on the locals (people within 1-2 hour driving of WDW). So the weekends get a bit more crowded and maybe if it falls close to a holiday (ie Yom Kimpur, etc), also F&W brings in the locals to Epcot.

3. Free dining only crowds the sit down places, and some of the values and Mods. Disney only sets aside so many rooms for the deal, my bet 40% Deluxes, 30% MOds, and 25% for values. Remember only WDW resort guests make up 30 to 40% of the parks attendance.

4. Transportation is alot better at the all stars compared to POP. At closing each all star gets it own bus, I've waited 3,4 sometimes 5 busses for POP.

We will be there this year from 9-19 to 9-25 and we can't wait....
We normally go a week later but with the Free dining we could not pass it up to go i week early.
The weather is always nice and it's is alot less croweded.
I know that Monday is FL day at Magic Kingdom so it gets pretty busy there...

Weeks to watch out for: Columbus Day week (either before or after) and second weekf of November--a lot is going on that week at Disney

Are you talking about Monday the 24th? We'll be there that week and I had planned our day at MK for that day and Im going to have a nervous breakdown if I have to change my plans AGAIN! :scared: What exactly IS Florida Day? And why would all these people take a Monday off to go to the MK? :confused3 HOW crowded will it be?

It is when FL residents get in for a discounted price.
if you get there as the park opens then you will not really have a problem.
( plus the show is great for the morning opening of the kingdom)
i think the only year we ended up seeing a big crowd on a Monday was in 2005 last year it wasn't not bad we still plan our Monday's there...

We're not early morning people. But I guess that's the beauty of hopper passes. If it's too crowded for our tastes, we'll leave and hit another park. Im not going to stress about it. I just wish I knew about it months ago!

i think that you will enjoy your stay no matter what !!!!!!
normally that time of year it's less croweded anyways.
Just think how it must be durning peak times
