I have alot more but didn't want to overload :thumbsup2

They also have some other cool reptiles throughout the park and other tanks with larger turtles that are for viewing only. I'll be happy to share other photos if you want to see something specific :yay:

I can't speak for others on here, but you could never overload us with pictures. I like lots of them, big and often. Then we get to be there with you.....almost. And we get to see you and your family and get to know you better before we sail. I LOVE PICS!

Hi everyone, we have just booked for the 19 Sept 2009 cruise. Its our first time cruising not just DCL. It will be me, dh and 2 dd's - 7 and 4(nearly 5) at the time of the cruise. I'm so excited. We will have 2 weeks at WDW following the cruise. We will travel from Australia to LAX on 17 Sept and probably overnight there and travel to MCO early on 18 Sept so that we are all refreshed for the cruise. I haven't booked anything else yet, its just a bit too early but wanted to make sure that we got what we wanted for the cruise.

Wow - what an awesome vacation you have planned! That will be so much fun! We have a friend here in GA who is from Australia and we so want to visit there someday! So glad to have you in our group. I have a DS who will be 9 and a DD who will be 6 at cruise time (they actually will be a few months away from 10 and 7 :) ). Please let me know if you want to participate in our Fish Extender Fun. You can read about it in this Thread or I can tell you about it.

Welcome, again and it will be great to meet you!:cool1:

Hi and welcome. How exciting for you all taking this amazing trip. You're going to love cruising and especially DCL.

ya know It occurred to me I needed to stop by and check in.

any rumors as to when the booking will open up for post 2008 cruises( esp. REAS? ) Andrew from UK is suggesting August. not terribly concerned, but this will be a (one year late) 10th anniversary cruise and I want to be able to have as much budgeted and paid for this year as I can so that next year when it will cost as much to fly to ORL :rotfl2: as the cruise is costing, I won't have to dip into the emergency funds....

Cuz I am also researching other packages like one of the wine packages( we are CA wine snobs and proud of it) and the occasional shore excursion. our last cruise we spent most of it asleep in the cabin,so we kinda sorta promised we'd actually, you know DO stuff this time... :rolleyes1

Hi everyone! It's nice to see lots of familiar "faces" on this thread. I was on the WB Panama cruise. It was my very first cruise :goodvibes So of course I booked another cruise on board, Tortola Sept12-19. After I got home I decided to book this one too. After a 15 night cruise I knew 7 nights wouldn't be enough! So I'm doing the B2B :cool1: I'm so excited that so many of my fellow cruisers have decided to do the same :goodvibes So I'd like to introduce myself to those who don't know me yet, and say hi to those that do! I am widowed, so cruised the WB solo, and will cruise Sept12-19 solo. But for this cruise, my daughter will be joining me :thumbsup2 She is married, but her DH doesn't want to cruise :confused3 She has never cruised....so this will be my 3rd cruise and her first...I'll be able to show her the ropes :goodvibes ;)

Hope everyone is doing well! We have been home bound - my son had surgery last week and is recovering but getting better every day and the tumor on his leg was confirmed to be BENIGN so that was great news!

Happy Summer everyone!:flower1:[/QUOTE]

I'm really glad to hear about your son. I can't imagine going through something like that.

Guys, I need GOOD vibes my way.

DH came home last night and said his specific department has been tasked with providing an O3 for a one year deployment..that ends in late October 2009.

Guess who is still an O3?! and right now all the prices for the same exact category on another cruise are anywhere from $500-$1800 more pushing it out to November or December. the cheapest increase is actually an Eastern In November. itinerary isn't THAT much of a deal breaker, but the price we paid I was happy with. Not sure I am going to be able to talk myself into having to fork over more. affording it isn't the issue, hell, he will make enough money just in Combat pay and the other special pays for being deployed to Upgrade to a Cat 6 or even 5.

and lord knows that he will NEED a break when he gets back. So I am being silly. I KNOW I can reschedule, I KNOW we can afford it it. But dangit.. It's bad enough we can't go this year due to other reasons. I don't wanna wait an extra month or two. waaahhhhhh:sad1:

he told me NOT to panic, he's volunteered twice already and they have told him he cannot go. it's by no means a done deal, and he may not be the one to go. But I am grumpy anyway....

Oh I can understand the grumpyness! I would be too if I had to delay a long planned vacation, even by a few months. I don't really understand all the terminology about being an O3(from the UK), but he is great to volunteer. Perhaps as you say he won't have to go, so you don't need to reschedule the cruise just yet.

Think Prince Harry in Afghanistan..same rank. Not the same service though.. DH is Navy.

I'm trying to not freak out . I should know by now that things will change a dozen times before a decision is made....

Hey everyone,

We just took advantage of the 50% off your deposit and booked another cruise. WE did the Sept 30 2006 eastern and couldn't stand the wait for another. It will be me and my DH anniversary and we will be bringing DS who will be 6 at the time of the drinp and other DS who will be 1 1/2 at the time we cruise. We are all really excited and can't wait.

So who's else is going??? Also what is the fish extender game?

Hi Rosemary and welcome. :) Someone will come along with info about the Fish Extenders soon I am sure.

My boys will be 8 and 10 at the time of cruise! Hopefully they can find a penpal before we sail.

.

My DS will be almost 10 at cruise time and he has a penpal for our Sept. '08 cruise that he emails back and forth with so let me know if you want to do the same :)

WELCOME! Sorry that I haven't replied about your Fish Extender question - have been out of town for the last 12 days. Here is a link to a thread that describes alot about the Fish Extenders, etc. Basically, if you sing up - you can either make or buy a Fish Extender and then we all exchange gifts on any night that you want to leave your surprises. It's so much fun to see things appear in your FE and to discover what they are. Please let me know if you have any other questions about it and if you would like to sign up and I will be sure to add you to the list at Post #104. I will post another updated list next month and just keep updating so we don't have to go so far back in posts :-)

Thanks, Shelly! He is totally recovered now and has no activity restrictions. He will have some minor swelling at the site for a few more weeks/possibly months but it is nothing major and not bothering him. It was a long road but it's now behind us and we are greatful for that!

We booked with the 50% off deposit also. Basically you just pay half the deposit up front for most sailings through Dec. 2009. You do have to pay the other half, just not right upfront. Our deposit was $375.

We are going - 4 of us
My Disney Mama ANNA age 54
My Disney Aunt MARGO age 51
Myself AMANDA age 27
My DS SEAN age 10( 11 at trip time)

WHOO HOO!
