When we awoke, we looked out the veranda and could see Castaway Cay in the distance. We had our coffee and breakfast out there, and watched the ship doc and unload. Wow, that is quite an operation! Castaway Cay is just as spectacular as everyone says. We did not hurry off the ship, but there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas for everyone. We sat by the snorkle area and stayed on the island for 6 hours. Even my computer nerd son enjoyed snorkling! The buffet was great, and they had plenty of cocktail servers on the beach, and 2 for 1 drink specials that were hard to pass up. After we got back on the ship, we showered and sat on the veranda and watched everyone come back to the boat. As the ship pulled away, we waved to the people who stay on the island, and they waved back with their Mickey gloves. The scene was so touching and spectacular at the same time, it almost broght a tear to your eye. I was still pinching myself that we had a veranda! I did that the entire trip!
We ate at parrot cay, and the 8 of us agreed this was our favorite. Our waitstaffs other tables were all at Palos, so we received constant attention which my dd9 just ate up. The waiter was showing her lots of tricks and brain teasers. Then there was a limbo dance line with all the employees dancing around the room, and I see my dd on the line with our waiter and waitress. When we left that evening, I turned around and saw my dd hugging all the waitstaff. I guess that is what a disney cruise is all about!
We then went to a family game show, called Walk the Plank, which was hysterical.
We saw disney dreams, and it is not to be missed. WE went to wavebands for 70's night, and I have not laughed so hard in years! The John Travolta dance contest was hysterical...please do not miss this!!
This last day was such a super success, I think by now we were all talking about our next cruise. The ship had a little bit of movement this evening, but it was very tolerable. Bought some great shots from shutters. Not really ready for the cruise to end!
