9/14 DCA closes at 8 but WOC is at 8:15?

I just noticed on the app that DCA closes at 8pm this Wed 9/14 but WOC is listed at 8:15. Is this another app issue or does this mean no WOC on Wed? There won't be one the next day as DCA closes at 5pm for a private event.

That sounds correct. There have been plenty of occasions when the WoC show starts 15 minutes after park closing. Most often it is when there is only one show for the evening and the park closes at 8 or 9 PM. You do need to make sure you are inside the DCA gates before the official closing time though if you want to see the show.

Yup this is common especially when only one show a night. I know it can seem confusing but I can assure you it's correct!
It kind of makes sense as it gives some extra time to get everything in order too.

I've been there when WoC started after DCA closes. I think they do it to help spread out the crowds as they exit the park(s).

So all of the ride queues close at 8PM to anyone not in line already. But people will still be in the park as they finish up their last ride, eat a final bite of food, and do some shopping. The parks don't really close when they close. Just the entrance is closed. CM will try to corral the guests who are not staying for WOC towards the park exit, but shops stay open for an hour or so after park closing. Not sure about the restaurants though.

Not all of the shops will remain open past the stated closing times. The ones on BVS (e.g., Elias & Co) usually remain open for up to an hour after closing, but the ones further in the park will close (guests already inside can finish up their shopping). In terms of dining, I've seen some of the QS locations on BVS remain open, but the ones further in the park will close (and sometimes they might even close before the park closes). The TS locations also stop seating guests early (usually about an hour or so before park closing). So I would make sure to do all of your shopping before WoC starts or make sure Elias & Co had whatever you're looking for.
