May we never forget the sacrifices that were made that fateful day. As we all think of our upcoming Disney trips, including me, I ask that you all take a moment today to say a prayer for all that were lost on this day.
We are holding a ceremony at our department and remembering all the FDNY brothers lost by a roll call and bell tolling.
May God watch over all FDNY, NYPD, FDNY EMS, PAPD members and all civilians that were lost on that terrible day.

It is not possible for me to ever forget. My life was changed forever that day along with the lives of every man woman and child. My God bless and keep those who are gone, and be with those of us left behind.

Thank you to all the selfless, tireless, and dedicated police, firefighters, EMTS, doctors, nurses, rescue workers and volunteers who rushed into the fray that day without a second's hesitation. You make us proud every day.
