[1st Cruise]

If we stay to our normal routine we will be so busy we won't get a chance to pack until Sunday night. If I know us we will finish packing and we will be flying our 8 hours later. Thank god we have 2 days in Spain so we can buy anything if we need to.

Scott and the kids have 1 week before they leave, I leave one day after that. I've got so much organizing to do! We don't have a 3 year old birthday party to plan (a major chore!!!) but my DS does have 2 different birthday parties this weekend, and girl scout camping, and I've got a friend who just got home from military deployment that we're supposed to meet up with to have some girl time!

just checking in. Plans are starting to move. I really need to pack. BUt can't seem to get started. Maybe I will by Monday

But the nightmares have started. LOL anyone else?

OMG! Me too!

We booked this cruise sooo late! We had the May 15th cruise booked and were very organized, had everything booked early, knew where we were going and who we were going with. We knew everyone online that we were going to take tours with and meet up with on board.

My daughter became very very ill and wound up in the ICU unit in critical condition for 5 weeks. She's wonderful now but obviously could not cruise. Now we have no Palo tea or brunch, no tours, no hotel yet....and the list goes on. I finally booked our flight a week ago. So now

UGH!!!!!!

Nightmare! Everything I had researched and booked is gone!!! Even the hotel I was going to use my points on.

I am just so glad we are going and my daughter will be there to share it, I don't even care what we do at the ports. Just celebrate!!!

We are all going to the Med!!!

I couldn't sleep last night,I think I was dreaming about not being ready! Patrick (ds) has had a sinus infection,and he's been feeling miserable, poor kid! I was awake at 5am, couln't get back to sleep,so I got up and finished a top I am making for a friend of mine who is going on the cruise too. Then I made coffee at 7:30am, crawled in with Patrick because he was fussing, and fell asleep until 10:30!!! both of us, I guess he's finally catching up on his sleep too!

We'd better all be healthy for this cruise!

I keep walking around work today and thinking in my head, in 2 weeks we will be sailing the Med. My staff is probably wondering my I have such a goofy smile on my face!

Oh, I thought I may be the only person worried about being healthy. I had a sniffle today and I almost panicked!

For those spending some time in Barcelona, I would recommend going to Montserrat. I went last year with my mom when we did a Princess cruise and I really liked it. My mom really liked visiting the La Sagrada da Familia church.


I am so excited, I just can't stand it.

Oh, I thought I may be the only person worried about being healthy. I had a sniffle today and I almost panicked!

I even went beyond worrying and had a complete physical and wore an event monitor for my heart for one month to make sure all was well! I did not want to seek medical attention in a foreign country! Does that make me neurotic?

No worries, you know you can always try Palo's when you board or at least try calling daily. My experience is that something usually shows up.

I cam across a TR from someone that did all excursions on her own. She did an amazing job and I know that some people on here have posted on it - DisneyFalcon anyone? anyway, if I find a link to it - I'll try and post it. Assuming I figure out how to post a link. Anyone know how too?

As for us, we booked late and are doing many excursions on our own too. So don't worry, you can seek us out on the ship and ply us with questions, we are all here to help if we can.

OH? And so glad to hear your DD is doing well and can come on this cruise. What a wonderful make-up trip.

Making last minute plans. Waiting on two pieces of mail that have things for our trip. To make it even more stressful we are throwing our daughter's 3rd Birthday 2 days before we fly. But it will all be worth it when we get on that boat.

We just did our DD's 3rd bithday party on Sunday and we leave on Wednesday. I thought about not doing anything - but she KNOWS this year about birthdays so I couldn't skip it - we had a great party and she was thrilled, so I'm glad we did it and you will be too!

We're going to London and Paris first, Scott and the kids leave next Thursday, and I follow on Friday (work and FF Miles, and it means I don't have to fly with 2 kids, or deal with their jet lag that first day! Isn't he awesome! )

We'll get into Barcelona on the evening of the 7th from Paris.

Just to let everyone know, Jason Bishop, the magician will be one of the cabaret acts the first half of the cruise... We checked out his website, he looks pretty good (although there was a review that someone on an earlier cruise didn't like him)...

Funny you ask this...I always know a trip is getting closer when I start having nightmares about forgetting something, like the passport, or favorite shoes. They started a few weeks ago for me!!!


This week has been TORTURE! I just want to get to Barcelona already!
