8th - 14th December -how busy??

Hi there,

I am hopefully planning a trip to Disneyland from 8th - 14th December

How crazy busy is it likely to be in the parks that week? I have lucky enough to visit several times in the past few years - but in September, May and July - is it likely to compare to any of these (I'm assuming July if any lol)?

Is it likely to be any quieter the weeek before (2nd - 9th) as we are kind of flexible with dates atm.

I think. First, how I know. Born and raised in Southern CA. My dad and grandpa both worked at DL. I did too, in the 1980's. When I was a kid we never bought admission. We had so many main gate passes left over from when he worked there. In 1995 I bought my first annual pass. I'd been a passholder ever since, until we moved to IL in 2009. Now I just get to go back and visit. It is REALLY busy at DL the last two weeks of December, because the schools are out. The weekends in December will be busy too. But not crazy busy like summer, unless there are special openings or events happening. The holiday decorations will be up, and you should be able to see the holiday fireworks. It's actually one of my favorite times at the park.

So, plan away. Have a great time. Maybe we'll see you, we are moving back to CA this summer

Yes, it will be about that bad. The weekend will be worse than midweek in July. Expect it to be ok, bad and ok again.

Thanks to you both - so I'm thinking as long as I'm prepared for busy it should still be bearable

It'll be worth it to see Disneyland decorated for Christmas!
