8pm Fantasmic 8:55pm Sci Fi Dine In

Apologies for posting such a specific question, but it's the one part of my trip plan that I'm concerned about.

I'm eating lunch at the Brown Derby as part of the Fantasmic dining package. The show is at 8, park closes at 8:30, Star Wars fireworks at 8:30, Sci Fi Dine In ADR at 8:55.

Given the mass exodus of people from Fantasmic plus avoiding the fireworks crowds plus navigating HS construction, do people think I'd realistically make an 8:55 ADR at Sci Fi?

Fantasmic ends around 8:30, and the remaining 25 mins, by the time the crowd lets out, should bring you to your ADR just in time.

You'll have about 30 minutes to get from Fantasmic to Sci-Fi. You'll make it, but the walk there will not be pleasant!

Edited to add: I missed the part where you wanted to see the Star Wars fireworks. You won't get a very good spot if you see Fantasmic. 5 minutes between the end of Fantasmic to the start of Star Wars isn't enough time. Maybe try to get a glance as you walk to your ADR?

You can make it from Fant to Sci-Fi.

I believe you just want to avoid the fireworks crowds, correct?

You'll need to cut through Hollywood Blvd. to make your way to the Echo Lake area and then on to SciFi. There is a 15 minute grace period for your reservation but you'll be fine as you have one of the latest reservations.

Yes, I just want to avoid the fireworks. Also, I'm a New Yorker, so I walk fast and am good at maneuvering through crowds.

I didn't realize Disney allowed ADRs after a parks closing time. Does this happen in all the parks/restaurants?

1. The OP didn't mention anything about trying to see the SW fireworks.
2. Regardless, there is not 5 minutes between the end of an 8PM Fantasmic! and the start of an 8:30 SW fireworks.

There is no construction to worry about between Fantasmic! and Sci-Fi Dine-in.

You don't have to be there at 8:55 on the dot. They allow some extra time. Don't stress it.
