8gig microdrive, $54.99 (free shipping)

Weird. It shows up as $49.99 when you add it to your cart.

I would recommend avoiding mocro-drives, they are more prone to failure than regular cf cards....and much slower than newer cf cards....

I have a 4 gig microdrive that i bought before they came out with 2,4 and 8 gig cf cards, on a photo shoot in the summer it kept getting so hot that iw would shut my camera down...

you can get an 8 gig cf card for 80 bucks it would be a much better buy, although some people on here will advise not buying large cards at all due to the possibility of card failure and losing many more pics, I am one of the few, that prefer large cards and believe that you are more likely to have card failure by changing out cards frequently..

here are some good prices on cf cards..

Solid state cards are so cheap now that IMO the savings you get from MicroDrives is not worth the risk involved with them any more.

That said I have a 2gig Microdrive that is still going strong after almost 3 years, but at the time of purchase I was saving about $150 vs a solid state 2gig card.
