Mine shipped already. And with the software update for 4.95 to me it as good as the newest model. Especially for the price.

as far as the hardware goes the second generation is the same as the 3rd no difference just pay the 4.95 software upgrade and it will be a 3rd generation essentially.

called amazon you do indeed get the wired subscription they are behind in getting the email out for it as they are with the MP3 code email both are supposed to be sent when your item ships if you do not get the emails call......

Yes, unfortunately. There was a time when I was never charged tax but I don't know if Amazon has a distribution center or something in NY now that has made us get charged tax

I think it goes by billing address so you would have to have someone from out of state actually purchase it.

I agree. At that age, the touch or even the psp would be better. I can't even think of ds games that a 15 yr old would like honestly.

I did also. I had to keep checking everyday for about a week for the 8gb to show up again and finally scored one on Thanksgiving Day (came today btw). So if anyone wants the 8gb refurb just keep checking the apple site. They do eventually show back up.
