What time do the buses usually start taking people to the parks if the parks technically don't open until 9am? Just curious as I was looking at booking Tusker House for an 8:05 res.

thanks. Should I also let the front desk know we have an early morning res or do they just show up automatically?

I would let them know just in case. I have heard that the buses begin to run from anywhere between 1 hour and 2 hours before a park opens. If you let the resort know when you check in, they will let you know when the buses start running or they can arrange some sort of transportation for you.

We just went out to the bus stop. The buses are there but they had a list of people who had early ADRs and only those people could get on.

Speaking from experience do not rely on Disney transportation to get you to an early breakfast until you are using the monorail and staying at one of those resorts....spring for a cab or drive yourself.

Definitely get the earliest ADR you can get for Tusker House's Breakfast. The earliest we came across for our trip in December was 8:50am, but we got there early and were seated around 8:30am. The earlier the ADR, the less wait you will have for the Safari Ride after rope drop. If you are finished by 9am, you'll be some of the first on the ride and could possibly beat the crowd headed from the entrance back to the ride. This was our favorite character breakfast (atleast mine and my DH - the girls love the Princesses more at Epcot!)

We didn't have any problems using WDW transporation to get to our early morning ADR's. We did 6 different character breakfasts at the 4 parks and 2 monorail resorts and had no problems at all.

When did they start checking ADR's on the bus? Must be new because we were there in early December (SSR) and we were never asked before we got on the bus. They asked us for our names to make sure we were on the list at the parks entrances except for Magic Kingdom. I guess it doesn't hurt, especially if you are at a resort where the character breakfast buses fill up quickly. I'd be kind of ticked if the bus was full and I missed my ADR because people were on it just to arrive at the park early with no ADR.

Awesome. Thanks

I actually have to reservations for that day at TH. One at 8:05 and the other at 10:25. I'll wait until we get closer before I determine which one to cancel. Still gauging my kids interest in KS. One has done it and really didn't care for it and the other has never been and can't make up her mind if she wants to see it.

We have an early ADR in june for Donald's breakfast at TH, and was wondering the same thing. So, should we shoot for a bus at about an hour early? If we drive ourselves, will we get into the parking lot that early? I can drive ourselves, but just wondering about getting there. I'm excited!!!

The early morning buses start running, every day, at 6:30, sometimes a bit earlier to the MK. For an 8:05 ADR at AK, I would be out at the bus stop by 6:45. The issue is that these buses don't run as frequently as the regular buses do. So, if there is one just leaving, you might have to wait a bit for the next one.
It's always better to arrive at the park early..you will be able to enter the park when you get there, unless you get there at 7:15 (but I doubt that will happen). Then, just take your time getting to your ADR. AK is wonderful when there are few others around.

That has never happened to me...at least not on the bus. Yes, they check your name off on a list at the parks, but not the bus. I have used those early buses as recently as last month...no questions by the driver at all, just a cheery 'good morning'.

Another thing, TH is waayy back in AK. I had hoped for a leisurely stroll through AK on our way, but we felt....herded to TH. The CM's said very friendly hellos, but we didn't feel comfortable taking our time. Even with an 8am ADR, we had to wait at the gate to be let in (we were a little early.), then waited again at TH for a bit to be seated. We def. could have walked slower, photo ops! Everyone there had the same idea, get in, eat, get on safari, so there was a sense of urgency. This year, we are taking deep breaths and enjoying instead of rushing. (I hope)

So what time did they actually let you in? My thing is, with an 8:00 ressie, if they don't let us in until 8:00, it could be 8:15 or so before we got back there. I remember on our last trip commenting about the early reservation line not being let in until 8:00. I was glad I didn't have that 8:00 ADR that day.

What time are they going to open the parking lot at AK? I've heard they don't open it until 8:00. Oy, this is all too much. I'm thinking I might cancel this ADR.

If only they had a place for breakfast near EE ...that would be awesome to be one of the 1st ones to ride it!

Don't cancel. It's really a good breakfast. I honestly don't remember what time they let us in. But they did call us by ADR time to enter, even though there were people ahead of us in line. And, like I said, we had to wait at the outdoor area for a few minutes before they let us in. We got finished in time to be on the 2nd or 3rd safari, so not bad. That's with a big eater, and 2 "startstruck" kids!

Definitely don't cancel your ADR. We did 6 different character breakfasts on our last trip and this was our absolute favorite!

I would only cancel one of them. they are both the same day. 8am and 10:30am. Obviously won't be going to both. heh

I'd go to the 8am ADR. It was great being in Animal Kingdom early. Even though our ADR wasn't until later, we got there early, but we didn't experience any "herding" as was stated in an earlier post. The CM's just pointed us in the right direction and we took a leisurely stroll to the back. It was so peaceful and quiet. I believe they even had a photopass photographer or two out on your walk back so you could get some photos with noone else around. (Unfortunately, those are the only ones that didn't show up on our photopass card.)

If you have an early ressie and want to head to EE after eating can you make it to EE before others entering from the turnstiles...or at least near the same time?

We're more of the Safari ridin' kind of crew. :) I would love to ride EE, but no one else does, so unless I can get a fast pass, no EE for me. We'll be heading over to the safari after breakfast.
