DM, I think it's super nice of you to offer your mad skillz! Hope no one's offended, but I'm going to keep my itinerary a bit closer to my sleeve from here on out. I can PM you guys to arrange meetings and stuff, but between Marisa's ealier comment about not providing too much info. and some things that recently happened to a friend involving chat boards and stalkers, I'm not comfortable putting all my details out there in cyber-space.
OMG, V! Thanks for reminding me. Marisa PM'd me about that as well. It completely slipped my mind! I think I'm going to have to keep things on the DL - even though I doubt anyone would want to stalk me and my brown folk. :lmao: Still scary enough to keep things private, KWIM?
Now eveyone can enjoy that song for a very long time! :rolleyes1
Thanks, thanks alot, S'late.
Now you've got me paranoid...YOU ARE ALL SERIAL KILLERS AREN"T YOU:scared1:
Well, maybe not allllll of us. :rolleyes1
I used the handy dandy spreadsheet that T sent me to figure out if the dining plan was fo rus or not. After crunching all the numbers The DDP would wind up costing us $1777 (Becasue we would have to buy at least a one day ticket to get it) OOP would cost us $1632.48.....Cost $144.52 more than if we pay out of pocket!
Wasn't that spreadsheet fantastic?? I think we saved about $200 going OOP. :goodvibes

T - finally saw the thread on TGM that you were talking about regarding P & P Party. Looks like plan a may be a GO:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
I'm betting it will - and I'm betting it will be on the 26th!

Mo, don't forget what I said about booking BBB on the 180 day mark. ;)

Maybe we should just PM each other where we will be on what days, so only we know--just a thought:confused3

For us it might be a little more since we would not get a dessert at every meal! Thanks again for sharing:goodvibes

Well, I'm in the minority -I think it has to do with the fact that my kids won't share meals (partially because they eat a lot, partially because they don't eat the same things) and also because of my shorter stay, but even without putting in any desserts OOP, the DDP saves me about $140.

I think, too, it's because of the buffets and the character meals I chose. I think there's only one TS I wouldn't do if I was going OOP (that's the water park day, where I think I'd do DHS in the evening), we'd want the other four I have down regardless, (Biergarten is mandatory ;) , Boma, CP and Chef Mickey's are desired, and at just 5 nights, well... )

So, that's good to know. :thumbsup2

Glad it is working out for you CE. Soooooooooooooooo, did you book yet:hyper:

The other thing I forgot to take into account when I was going all of my numbers was my parents. If one or both of them are with us we can use their 20% (I think it is 20%) discount, which will save us money too:thumbsup2 Can only be used at TS places I think, but still worth it!

Okay. We're nixing the posting of everyone's schedules publicly. I'll just make one more suggestion if anyone is interested in this. I could still put together everyone's schedules like I mentioned before but not post it. Then I can PM everyone in the "group" with the schedules as needed. That way everything is put together nicely. It's up to you all ...

That works for me DM is everyone else is in agreement:thumbsup2 Thank again for offering

Nobody hit the Lottery last night, so I will try again on Saturday:goodvibes

It's really sweet of you to offer to do this, DM. I just got done reading up on what the heck everyone was talking about! :confused3 It's a shame that we have to be leery of prying eyes even here on the DIS. :sad2: Since it's just going to be me & the girls in Aug, I guess I would be uncomfortable posting our itinerary publicly, too. As soon as I figure out what we're doing, I'll PM you with my info.

Thanks again! :goodvibes

I'm sorry I didn't post my concerns over here too. I thought I did.

It is a good idea, to keep names, dates and times off the board. We all like to think the DIS Board is a safe place to post, which it is. But I would rather be safe and play it safe.

I have to deal with VIRTUS Training in my real job-and it is just a lot of common sense practices. I think we all get really familiar with each other on this board and tend to forget the board is open to all, whether they post, lurk, register, or do not register.

DawnMaree-you should apply to be a Travel Agaent with Dreams!!

DM, I'd love this. Thanks!

I just took VIRTUS training a couple weeks back. The videos were very interesting. A lot of it is common sense but it really makes me even more paranoid with who is spending time with my kids.

What's that? :confused3 I need a job.

:sad2: Oh lord......now her head's gonna swell up again. ;)

What's a VIRTUS??
It's a course given by the Catholic Diocese. The course is actually "Protecting God's Children". Here is a link: http://www.virtus.org/virtus/protecting_children.cfm. If you intend to work in the catholic church in any way near children, you are required to take this course. They also do a background check on everyone now. I am going to be substitute teaching for Brookie's preschool so I had to take the course.

That would work for me. I'll PM you once I have something firm planned out.

So what are you saying.....my stalking skills are bad:confused3 :lmao:
Maybe ::yes:: :rotfl2:

That $144 can be used for our WP day tickets!
I was also going to say remember the DDP is tons of food and if we were paying OOP we would never ever order as much as when we're on the plan!!!!

Oooooh so you have restaurants planned hey :yay:

That would be wonderful DM

OK so I phoned to make my last 3 ADR's today as it is 180 days + 10 + 3 from checkin if that makes sense, basically when I phoned Saturday it was 180 + 10 and to do the last 3 I needed to call 3 days later which is today. I did it last year and I was fine and also the CM I spoke to on Saturday told me to do that too :thumbsup2

Well I phone and the CM said nope I could only book first 10days then call back everyday at exactly the 180 mark for each ADR, I even told her what the other CM said etc and she said sorry Maaam no  So I rung again, good job these calls are free :rotfl2: She didn't want to do it either but went off and checked and booked them for me :yay: I got everything at the exact times I asked for too :thumbsup2

So today I booked Narcoossee's, WCC and LeCellier again, phew :rotfl:

I love when 1 CM tells you one thing and then another will tell you something else. Ir gets very frustrating:headache:
