Thanks for the info! I just got 2 $10 gift certificates for $.60 each!! And 2 $25 ones for $2 each. Great x-mas gifts. :cool1: :cool1:

Thanks for the code. I got 4 - $25 certificates to my favorite local german food restaurant for $2 each. That was exciting!

How does this work? We buy the certificates and then we redeem them for the restaurant we want? Then give the gift cards away?

Its been a while since I've used restaurant.com. Are the certificates still good for 1 year from purchase date?

I think you used to be able to trade them in for another restaurant too....say if you were going to be traveling? Can you still do that?

One restaurant I wanted doesn't seem to be listed any longer. But I might consider it for an out-of-state gift for a relative.

Beware there are restrictions for each restaurant. Each will say how much the bill (EXCLUDING alcohol & tip & tax) needs to be before they can use the certificate. Some have requirements on size of party.

For instance, some say $35. It might be difficult for 2 light eatters to spend $35 (without alcohol) just to be able to use the cert.

Mine say they are good for one year. The ones I purchased do have a minimum purchase of $35, but that is easy when we all go out to eat. Our bill there is usually about $40 so we are covered.

Yeah, i agree, I bought these for x-mas gifts for the fam to a great restaurant, Los Ranchos here in Miami, where a normal check is $50+ for 2 people, so the $50 minimum is fine, it's like getting a meal half off.

I really want to do this deal, but I can't find any restaurants I want in my area, or my parents, or my ILs. Bummer. We don't live in big populated areas, so the selection is very small. Seems they've dropped many restaurants I used to see on there. Oh well. Enjoy.

Don't forget to use SR or MyPoints for the extra earnings.

I just got $40 worth for $2.something. Thank you OP for the reminder. 4 Christmas presents out of the way. Purchased $75. worth the other day for $6, but, those were for me.

To those of you looking to give these as gifts, just remember that many stores will only let you redeem 1 of these per month per account. So if you are giving these to multiple families for the same store, once one person uses a gift certificate, no one else on your account can use one at the same restaurant that month... just some food for thought.
