I was just wondering, I am going down with DD on April 4th (early morning). I am buying 2 adult DDP passes and one child DDP because my DH is arriving on April 5th (at night). Can my DD use my DH's pass on April 4th and 5th and order from the adult menu because he will not be there to use it? It is ashame for me to let the extra "adult" money go to waste! :confused3 She loves steak and shrimp and salads etc. so I would love for her to be able to use it rather than have to order off of the childrens menu (which she will have to do the remainder of the trip) the whole trip. I think, personally, there are healthier choices off of the adult menu. Any feedback?? Thank you!

My understanding is you are not purchasing adult or child passes but rather a certain number of adult and child credits. So assuming you're staying 6 nights, you would have 12 adult TS credits and 6 child TS credits. I can't see the CM having a problem letting your 8 year old use an adult TS credit but you should probably ask before you order dinner just in case.

Also, keep in mind that you will also have the CS credits which you should have no trouble using an adult CS for your DD since the CM would assume that the other adult was at a table. Also, if your DD prefers adult food, you may want to look at the all you can eat TS meals since this allows her to choose adult food instead of being stuck with the child's meal.

Enjoy your trip.

Thank you WDWfor5, but what the heck is a TS credit?!! I truly don't understand this whole DDP program! I'm really sorry if I sound stupid! So are you saying that if my DD eats off of my husbands credit, then she will still have extra credits for her childs menu? Can that be used any time throughout the trip? For example, if on April 12th, my DH is a little more hungry after lunch, can we use the "extra" credit from my DD?? I am so confused!! Thanks!

The way it works is this - think of it as having a dining account with 1 TS Credit, 1 CS Credit and 1 snack per person per night. A Table Service Credit gets you a meal at most TS restaurants (you can see the list at allears.net) and includes appetizer, entree and dessert and a drink (soda/water/etc). The CS credit is good for a counter service or quick serve meal throughout WDW and includes a Combo meal or entree and dessert and a drink and the snack is most items under $4 (they're marked on the signs). You can use them basically as you wish so if on the first day your DD uses an adult CS credit, then either she can use the child credit to get breakfast one morning or you can use it for extra food one day with DH.

It sounds really complicated but it works out to be very simple once you figure it out. What we do is this - we had 2 children and 2 adults on our last trip as well as DS who was 2 and free. We used 2 adult CS credits for lunch which when you include dessert was plenty of food for the five of us and we used the 2 children's CS credits for breakfast (Mickey Pancakes, etc) since our children are like your DD and prefer adult food at lunch and the kids meals wouldn't have worked well. THe snack was got bottles of water, icecream, etc during the day and every night we had a sitdown dinner with our TS credit. We loved the character meals, Le Cellier in Epcot and more. The plan includes tip and tax and it was wonderful.

Let me know if you have more questions - I'm happy to help as I figured it all out on this site when we used the DDP for the first time.

Just A thought but If you have extra adult credit try doing a show like the Hoop DE doo or the Luau. Counter service can give you a lot of food. (I had to carry ziploc bags.) My daughter can eat as much as me on a good day and we had no problem getting adult meals for her using the DP. but my card read that we had 2 adults and 2 children in my party. I know this isn't the norm but I don't think the CM care much about counter meals because They let my 8 year old order adult chicken and fries almost everywhere. The kids really love HDD.
