8 year old birthday party

My daughter will be celebrating her 8th birthday on the 23rd of September. I would like some ideas for birthday parties. Any suggestions would be great. She wanted to have a pool party at a local indoor pool but her best friend broke her leg so now we are stumped.

Seeing as her best friend is in a cast, I guess you need something low key....

Movie and lunch

Glamour Day...manicure, hair rollers, make up

Craft party... decorate a treasure box, paint stained glass, press fallen leaves with crayons, persaonalize a glass slipper

Local theatre production (Cinderella is playing here next month)

Small children's museum that has all that great hands-on stuff
