SCHOOL STARTS!!!!!

:bounce: :bounce:

I love my children I really do, but there is just something about the routine of school that makes us all happy you know?

Besides I cant WAIT for all the great back to school sales!! :)

Anyone else excited and/or frazzled with summer all ready?

Binny! Didn't hhey just get out? LOL!!!

I would love to have summer break for my girls! They are on the year-round schedule and I just want them to be able to rest instead of constantly going, going, going!

They are done with this grade on Tuesday, then have 1 1/2 weeks off, then they start the next grade!

I have my oldest in camp...he loves it and is exhausted by the time he gets home. great for everyone!

UGH! I thought my son had it bad, he starts back August 17 (just enough time to squeeze in another quick WDW trip! ;) ). Year round school would kill me. I remember the good ol' days - when we got out in May and did not start back until AFTER Labor day!::yes::

Our house has been full with the hustle and bustle of lots of kids for a couple weeks now. And I will REALLY miss them when school starts back up again. It is always a hard adjustment for me.

DS just got out of school today! He goes back in 10wks Sept 1st. People were saying I was more hyper with his getting out today than he was - lol

I'm looking forward to school being back in session too!

I don't go to WDW when school is out. Not that I don't like kids, but I don't like crowds so I have a self imposed ban from the parks June-August. It also helps me avoid the worst of the heat.

It's only been a month since my last trip but I am already getting antsy to go again.

Those were the days, right!?

Here in Raleigh, the schools are SO bad, and the only chance kids really have of getting a decent education is to be in the year round program. We had to apply to get in, so we were one of the "lucky" ones!

We are moving next year to the Northeast, thank goodness! I can only hope they are not so far behind their peers up there!

We will be moving to the NE too! What state are you going to? We are going to Maine. Let me tell ya, I have a hard time driving in HEAVY rain, I have nightmares of what will happen with ice and snow! I have no idea how I can possibly drive to work in that stuff! I can just hear the poor people of Maine talking about me now, they will all be saying - stupid non-driving redneck!:p

We are moving to New Hampshire. We'll be neighbors!

Don't worry about the snow and ice. I am a California girl and never had seen it snow before I moved here (I had seen snow, but not snow falling!) Here they have one salt truck for the whole area, so none of the roads get plowed. I have driven on it, and if you take it easy, you should be ok!

Besides, up there are a prepared for the snow and ice, and the roads are usually taken care of!

Glad we will be "close":D . I sure hope the public schools are exceptional because the private schools I checked into are :earseek: ridiculous! Good to know I won't kill myself on the roads! (however, that is yet to be seen:p )

Today was the last day of the school year here
So I guess is about 10 weeks here before classes start again

LOL I didnt mean I was tired of my kids :) Just that we all seem to do well with the schedule of it all.
My kids thrive on ritual I guess.
Theyve been out here for almost a month now and theyre getting ansty. I looked at the calendar today and told them that and they all cheered :faint: LOL
Maybe they dont love me? ;)

Besides... Target was putting all their summer stuff on sale when I was in yesterday and said they were gettingf ready for school supplies.
Nothing like new school supplies! :) I love it!

ROFL! DS just got out yesterday and Im already counting...11 weeks from today!!!!:teeth: Thank God we have 2 trips during this time or Id really be in trouble. ;)

Today is DD's last day of school, 1/2 day. They don't go back until September 8th.....

Wow--we are one of the last ones.

DS's last day is TODAY. He gets one day of vacation camp, and then starts his first session of Y Camp on Monday.

We don't go back to school until AFTER Labor Day, so he has 10 or 11 weeks to go, and will be at Y Camp every day.

I'm with Binny though--I LOVE the sales!
