This may be only at certain Circuit City stores (who knows, maybe it's only at my local CC) but I've been planning on switching to Eneloops for some time now, ordered a 4-pk online yesterday for $7.28 and went to CC yesterday to pick them up. I noticed they had 8-pks on clearance for $7 and change so I told them I'd take two 8-pks instead since they were the same price but when she rang them up they were only $4.94 for an 8 pack!! So if you're looking for Eneloops check your local CC, maybe you'll find the same deal I did.:)

Great deal, even at $7.28 for 4. Unfortunately they never seem to have them at our CC... I ended up buying 8 Kodak 2100mAh low-discharge ones from Thomas Distributing and they are absolutely terrific. It's great to be able to leave batteries in my flash or my K100D and let them sit for a few weeks, pick them up, and know that the batteries will still do the job!

How can you tell if they are the low-discharge version? I have several of the Kodak 2100mAh batteries from our old P&S, but they seem to discharge very quickly if not used. Are the new versions marked? I would like to be able to use them in my K200D.
Thanks!

The new versions are marked special, they look like this - white with an orange top, and they say "Digital Camera Battery Pre-Charged" on them.

They are pretty new, so if you have some lying around, they're not going to be them. 2100mAh is (last time I checked) the most you can get in a low-discharge/pre-charged NiMH AA battery.

Thanks Groucho!

You are correct, mine are the older version.

My K200D came with Eveready Lithium AA's and they have performed really well. What kind of performance can I expect with these low-discharge AA's and can I use my existing chargers? I have a Kodak Charger and 2 Eveready Chargers. Neither are "quick" chargers, but take approx. 3-6 hours.
