I am soooo disappointed. I haven't seen MK in almost 2 years & I'll have my new camera & this is what I have to look forward to.

I am excited about the new ride coming, if it is true, but the timing stinks for me! I know this comes with value season & they do their best at making the walls "fit in", but I hate refurbishment walls.

Maybe the castle ones are just temporary & I'm just freaking out for nothing... they don't look very temporary though.

So now that I am only 20 days out my updates are going to be coming like rapid fire, with small periods of nothing... that's when I'll probably be painting.

I thought I would share touringplans' estimated crowd level for my dates. They look pretty good. Hopefully they're accurate.

Also, I've decided to share the surprise of the two extra days with my mom before we leave. My dad heads out for his conference on Sept 23. So I figure I will tell him before he leaves. Then I am planning a special dinner & scavenger hunt for my mom one of the days he's gone, before the two of us leave sometime between Sept 23 - 26.

I have found a bunch of pics on the internet that she will have to find scattered throughout the house in little glass bottles. Once she finds all the bottles, she will have to put all the pictures together to figure out what the secret message is. I tried to make it difficult & I'm hoping to try it out on you guys, if you don't mind.

First, I'll post the supplies I picked up at Michael's. Then in the next post I will post all the picture clues, not in any specific order. I feel like it's easy to figure out, but I know the answer, so it's hard to tell. I know you guys also know the answer, but we'll see.

Oh, one clue I will give her is that some pictures have more than one word used from them. Also, depending on you guy's feedback, I may have a paper with the blanks to fill in, so she will know how many words she needs to get, etc.

This is my first time ever doing anything like this, so if you guys have any suggestions, PLEASE let me know. I need all the help I can get!

Here are the supplies. I have 12 glass bottles for the pics to be in, one extra just in case. Little pirate buttons to go on each bottle along with the ribbon that i LOVE. Also, some paper & embellishments for the directions, etc.

No apologies needed. I love Red Sox fans!! We share the same passion about the yankees. If I'm not (can't) rooting on the mets, my second choice is the red sox... as long as they're not playing my mets. I actually drove to boston to see the mets play the sox at fenway a few years ago. It was Pedro's first return to fenway. I LOVED fenway! I hope they never tear it down. It's like baseball's WDW to me, it was magical.

I'm very excited about the scavenger hunt. I've never done anything like this before & I know my mom is gonna be shocked, not to mention when she finds out the actual surprise. I think it will be fun for your daughter & you too. I'm having so much fun planning it & decorating my little jars. Go for it!

We did have a great time. It was nice because they both had never been & Jason (my friend) is just so crazy. He makes watching it rain fun!

Yes, I'm hoping the People Mover will stay on track (no pun intended) & open before I get there. They've already pushed the reopening date back 4 times! SM unfortunately still won't be open for my trip. It reopens in Nov, I think the end of Nov. I don't mind SM being closed. It's disappointing, but I'll get over it real quick, but if the people mover isn't open, that will be sad.

I will try & tape it but my mom is one of those who hates to be on camera, so we'll see. Maybe I'll hide the camera, then I'll at least get her first response to the instructions & then the big reveal.

Wow, so this house remodel is really taking over every second of any free time I have. I'm 12 days out & I haven't even had time to be on DIS at all. For all I know there could be a giant addition coming to MK by 2013 and not even know it. Wouldn't that be awesome?!

Well, I just thought I'd fill you guys in on my plans in the next day or so.

Today I will be decorating my little glass bottles for the scavenger hunt. Also, the map/directions page. I'm very excited to be starting that!

Also, we will be losing my dad for another day at WDW. My uncle who lives in Ocala, Fl (40 min away) has cancer & he has suddenly & unexpectedly taken a bad turn. My dad will be flying in to WDW late so he won't be with us when we see him the day before WDW. So he's gonna rent a car for the day, ride up & sit with him. They were actually childhood best friends, who married sisters. We expect him to make a full recovery, however he has a bad heart, so they tell us to be prepared for the worst. Worse comes to worse, we are all okay 'cause we know it's not "goodbye", it's "so long", because we know it's only so long until we'll see each other again and he won't be in pain anymore.

Also, ANOTHER surprise for my mom. Years ago we saw a statue of minnie mouse that my mom HAD to have. Well, she didn't buy it & then totally forgot about it. Well I purchased it for her as like a special souvenir that whenever she looks at it she would remember this amazing trip. I'm trying to figure out how to give it to her. I don't know if I want to incorporate in in the hunt or save it for at wdw. I don't know. If you guys have any ideas please let me know.

Yeah I was thinking I liked the idea of giving it to her at WDW & not here at home. That's a good idea with minnie mouse. Luckily I use a mini backpack while in the parks, so I'm thinking I'll just keep it in my bag & whenever a good opportunity arrises give it to her.

Hey guys.

Things have been getting really crazy around here. I can't believe I'll be at WDW in 8 days!

Well, I have some HUGE news that won't really change much for my actual trip, but more for my pre-trip.

As I had told you guys my uncle has cancer. He just suddenly & unexpectedly took a bad turn. My aunt (his wife) is not handling this well. He was always the rock in the family, so now that she has to take over "his job" she's just not doing well. They live in Ocala, Fl which is 35 minutes northwest of Orlando. The doctors have been having my uncle go to a cancer specialist in tampa, which is about 2 hours from her. Long story short, the drive is just getting to be too much for her especially since he has gotten so sick. So my mom & I are flying out on Tuesday, yes this tuesday, as in 2 days from now, so that we can drive them to tampa.They have to go back-to-back days on Wed & Thurs. Also, we will be doing shifts with my Uncle so my aunt can sleep, as well as a few days of nonstop cooking, so that they will have healthy meals ready for them at a moments notice instead of McDonalds. Luckily their son is NYPD & is allowed to take a leave of absence for family emergencies. He will be able to be there for the entire month of Oct, so the timing of it has worked out great.

I am freaking out! I am ms planner that has her whole life planned out. Needless to say, I'm not good with last minutes changes. I now have to get everything done in a day & a half rather than a week! Work wise it's gonna be CRAZY! As for getting ready for WDW, I can do most of it in FL. So today I have the rest of the day to clean & pack. Tomorrow I have to get all my work finished up. Then Tuesday I have a staff meeting & then from there I head straight to the airport! This is gonna be a crazy 2 days.

Also, due to the events going on with my family I had to tell my mom the big surprise. She was planning our schedule & was including those days, so I had no choice. I was SOOOOO disappointed that I had to tell her. I had the whole scavenger hunt planned & I didn't get to do it. Luckily I thought quick & didn't tell her about the scavenger hunt. Her 60th B-day is in Nov so I'm planning to do the scavenger hunt to tell her about her present. (a weekend trip to Boston) Needless to say she was shocked. I mean blown away. So it was still fun to tell her & see her reaction, but I was soooo looking forward to really surprising her. Oh, well. I sort of did still surprise her & I'll get to for her B-day. Also, I thought quick & didn't tell her about the dessert party, so she still has some surprises coming.

This ptr will continue, 'cause once I get to Fl things will calm down some. However, this may be my last post until Tuesday, when I arrive in Fl & life has slowed down.

Sorry about your uncle ,it's nice of your family to go help them out.I hope it all works out. So are you going on the weekend trip to Boston? That's my neck of the woods, I live about 40 minutes north of Boston. You should do the Fenway
Park tour even if you already have been there it's really cool.They tell you little things you probably would not of know, plus you get to walk on the MONSTA. HAHAHA. Also have some real clam chowda.
