Hi All,

We are going the end of august and will be there for 8 full days. (3/4 day on the 9th day). We have also scheduled 3 tours. KTTK, Epcot segway (2hrs) and Back stage safari. I was wondering if this is pushing it too much. I usually perfer to tour the parks in the morning and I lose 3 mornings this way. Of course the tours look way cool so I figure its worth it.

What does everyone else think.

I think you'll be fine. 8 days is a lot at Disney. We're going to do the Backstage Safari tour in Sept and maybe the KTTK tour. I think we'll have plenty of time. :sunny: Have fun!!!

I think 3 tours is too much. We were just there for 10 days and did Undiscovered Future World (5 hours, great tour). KTTK is excellent and also about 5 hours. I find that I really enjoy the tours, but then miss some of the things I normally do in that particular park. We needed to return to Epcot in our case to ride Soaring of course, and also M:S, and Test Track. I would probably skip Backstage Safari for another time. That too is a good tour, but almost entirely backstage, and there is little opportunity for doing attractions. There is a private Safari ride which is good. Take my comments on Backstage Safari with a grain of salt. I think we had our weakest tour guide here in April 04. DH's favorite remains Segway!!

John, I like to tour parks the way you do -- arrive early and get lots in. After a tour, I find the park very crowded and usually head back to my room to rest, returning or going somewhere else in the evening. I sometimes feel like I missed out on my favorite attractions. I should add I'm a vet of 5 backstage tours, only one planned on each trip.

We actually have the same 3 tours booked and we have 11 days. We have been to Disney many times before so I dont think its too much at all. Now if this is a first trip it might be too much because there will be so much to do. I think only you can decide if its too much based on how you like to tour. Like I said we have been multiple times so we are looking for new and exciting things to do. All of the tours are great and I dont think you will regret your decision.

In Novmeber/December 2003 we were there for 10 days and did 4 tours (backstage safari, Wild by design, future world and world showcase). We didn't think that it was too much at all. We would have gladly done more tours but by then we had pretty much done them all (did KTTK on Honeymoon and segway came out later - also done).

Bear in mind that in November the crowds are much lower as is the tempurature.

We are huge fans of all of the tours and recommend them to anyone interested in learning about the little things that are often missed (this is especially true in Wild by Design - the detail in AK is amazing).

A few things to consider:
- by touring you are seeing the park, just a different side
- one of the tours in only 2 hours long - not exactly killing a whole morning there
- the parks are open a bit later in the summer

It's something you certainly have to decide yourself. I hope that you enjoy the tours as much as we did. :)

We are doing 3 tours in a 10 day stay (last of Nov./early Dec.)...the same ones as you except we are doing Yuletide Fantasy instead of Backstage Safari. Yuletide Fantasy, which does not require park admission, will be on a day we have scheduled as a non-park day, so we won't be "losing" any park time with this one. As for the other tours, they are something we want to do, so we don't feel we will be sacrificing time seeing/doing other things in the parks. I think it's all in the way you look at what you want to experience or accomplish.
